I like Montiel, he looked pretty good Saturday against Silva but my god that guy had NO chin. They were fighting on pretty even terms but when Montiel's gloves just barely touched him the guy went down everytime.

He you have some sharp boxing skills you are going to give Montiel trouble. And it also makes for a boring fight. See Montiel-Gonzalez. But he can also be in very excciting fights like the Melendez fight, that was an awesome fight. His styles varies depending on who he fights.

Montiel is a very underrated and good fighter. I would have loved to see him fight a PRIME Martin Castillo, they fought too late when Castillo was already done. Montiel is deffinately beatable but is also a very serious challenge for anyway near that weight.

I look forward to seeing him fight again. Maybe a Z Gorres rematch.

I think he beat Gonzalez personally.

I think he should stay away from Gorrez rematch though. Montiel does not cope well with the Southpaw stance. He struggled against Too Sharp Johnson's lefty stance to.

I thought Montiel won that fight too. What im saying though is it was a very close fight and was very boring. Too Sharp and Z Gorres are different styles but I know what your saying. The Gorres fight was real close though and I think Gorres deserves a rematch.

I'm back n forth on the Vic fight. I can never make up my mind on who wins, especially after Vic destroyed Mijares. I agree Montiel bein a lil underrated, but that's typical of a guy lower on the scales. A lotta the smaller guys don't get the shine they should.
