Man, I have the same issue with my 16 oz Winning's, I actually regret getting the 16's. But, at the time they didn't have the 14's. I should've just waited.Comment

Well, as I always say. "Why use gloves the gloves that your not going to fight in for training?" So, I always get 10-12oz gloves. Why train with big ol' steam boats when your gonna fight with smaller gloves anyways?
Its like training Muay Thai with shin pads. Makes no sense. You feel me?Comment

Holy ****, I just went to the Winning website and as if their prices high weren't enough, they raised it atleast $40 more. Their headgear w/ a facebar just days ago was sellin' for $330 it's now sellin' for $370. Their 16 oz velcro gloves used to be $240 it's now for$285. G*ddamn
Now I really think they're overrated.Comment

I have owned Reyes, Grant and Winning and the latter are by far the best in terms of comfort, build quality and hand protection (actually Reyes build quality rivals Winning) I have very small hands though (i weigh around 180lbs) and i'd struggle to do someone damage in 12oz Winning. Stay well away from Everlast. To answer the question they are overpriced but if you want the best you'll swallow the cost. I always wondered why Calzaghe never wore Winning if his hands were as bad as he claimed.Comment

I actually met the guy who operates Winning USA several times and he has a different perspective. He said he was so surprised how cheap most other boxing gear was in the US. He said Winning are expensive because they are hand made in Japan and labor there is not cheap.Comment
