Give lots of credit to David Haye

turns out those insane demands were all true, about have a double rematch clause. Ive never heard of such ridiculous conditions, but Haye still signed up for it. you have to give him credit for that.

the chances of Haye beating Wladimir, Vitali, and Wladimir/Vitali again are next to none. theres no easy way out here. theres no chance of him getting lucky and walking away with a title...

Im not entirely sold on Haye, but you have to respect him for making a big fight despite such conditions. Yes, even you guys that hate Haye.

on a side note, if Haye does beat Wladimir somehow, wow the heavyweight division just got about 5 times more exciting. Haye vs Wlad is the best thing to happen to the Heavyweight division in years, and I cant wait until July!

yeh well said. you've got to give it to haye here he's given up quite a lot here to make this fight happen, he really wanted it.

he's also defiantly damaged his profitability from a rematch if he does win because there's no way he'll be getting as much locked into a contract with K2 promotions as he would of got through the likes of the big american promotional companies which would of undoubtedly waded in if he wins

You guys are gushing a bit too much. Options like this are common in boxing. The Klitschkos didnt ask for anything that King or Arum wouldnt have asked for. Besides Haye is the one that wanted this fight in the first place so nobody forced him to sign the contract. And finally, Haye is doing this for Haye, he knows thats where the cash is.
I got nothing against him per say but lets not go pretending like he's doing someone other than himself a service.

There were no insane demands. Two options is VERY reasonable from a promoter.

Options on voluntary defense opponents are standard stuff. Don King used to ask for three or more fights. Warren, Goossen, Sauerland, Universum all require options to fight their champs.

People don't understand this is the Wlad the promoter, not Wlad the fighter requiring two options.

Haye could have fought in a WBO final eliminator, couldn't he? Or the next IBF eliminator, against Arreola? If he was a mandatory, no options would be required. But he didn't want to take the risk of losing before getting his big payday fighting Wlad.

He deserves NO credit, I can hardly wait to see him get knocked out.

Hes doing us boxing fans a service, thats for sure. we wanted this fight, and most fighters in his position would have turned down this kind of contract.

say what you will, but Ive never heard of a DOUBLE rematch contract.

If he wins I really hope it's only the two fights then he leave K2. These demands are ******ed, i've never heard of such unreasonable demands AND the opponent agreeing with them

Please, let me know about a fighter who signs up for one fight, but is forced to sign up for TWO others ONLY if he wins, with no choice himself who he fights afterward.

no really, please, give me examples.

I can understand if haye has to sign up to K2 promotions if he wins, thats been done before. Two rematch clauses is unreasonable, compeletly thats a year of his career gone of which he has no choice over.

yes rematch options are pretty standard but not normally two, and not two that would be possibly be against a different opponent. in fact haye beating wlad then having to fight vlad isn't a rematch clause at all lol
