    vitali ducked a lewis rematch

So Vitali Kilt came out and said himself that Lewis offered him a rematch at a 70-30 split in Lewis' favour, and he turned it down.
Now, this would undoubtably have been the biggest purse of his career, and a chance to get revenge, prove to the world that Lewis got lucky, and enhace his legacy. And he turned it down.

You can agrue all u want about being entitled to a 50-50 split, the fact is Vitali wanted Lennox to come out of retirement for a risky fight, were Lewis would be the underdog, when defeat would harm his legacy. A fight Vitali has been ****ing on about for years. And he turned it down.

Now, Vitali fans, shut the **** up about a Lewis rematch, your boy didnt want it.

And you have proof of this I take it??

Lewis was the one who decided not to take the rematch. Im not a Vitali nuthuger by any means, but Lewis didnt want the match.

Its not a big deal, Lewis already sealed his legacy. Problem was for him that he just didnt want to do it anymore, his heart wasnt in it.

        just another thread on here

He was supposed to take the fight of course, for the reasons stated above.
Tyson would do it, probably for free, in a carpark.
Ali, I think he wouldn't, but Ali was a HUGE draw, and woudlnt need to do it, as his career is amazing anyway.
Louis, I dont know the first thing about him apart from he was pretty damn good so I dunno.

Lewis is a coward, he got his ass whooped by Vitali and retired like a scared *****.

Lewis never wanted to come out of retirement, he knows Vitali would knock his ass out in a rematch.

Believe me I dont doubt that for a second. Lewis had no more intention of getting in the ring with Vitali again than I do. But Vitali should have said yes, if only to see what Lewis would have done, he's been ****ing on about a rematch for years, and apparently had an oppertunity and he said no

He already busted Vitaly up once and was almost 38 when he did it. Why do it again. Bait post.

By Johnny Benz (April 1, 2009) Doghouse Boxing
                    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

According to a published report by The National Radio Company of Ukraine, on Tuesday Vitali Klitschko held a news conference in Kyiv. One of the many topics Klitschko hit on was in regards to a rematch with Lennox Lewis.

Klitschko has stated time and time again that his biggest dream in the boxing is to get a rematch with Lewis. In regards to his dream rematch with Lewis, the publication reports that Klitschko stated at the press event that talks with Lewis for a rematch are over and there will be no rematch.

Klitschko divulged to the press on hand that Lewis wanted a purse split 70/30 in his favor but that Klitschko was only prepared to fight for a 50/50 split.

Lewis has been retired from boxing since 2006 and has repeatedly denied reports of comeback rumors.
interesting. first time Ive heard of this.

aint it a shame that so many good fights have fallen apart just because of the purse bid?
