Like I said in my last post. I havent watched all the fights of Duran but the ones I did see he was trying to finish. So, maybe I havent watched enough of him. Recommend some fights for me to watch, maybe?

Check out theManchines videos of Duran vs DeJesus. Also the Buchanon fight. It not at lightweight, but hfights with Leonard and Hagler show just how good he could box.

Im not saying a one sided affair(damn, I use "im not saying" alot, lol). But I think Floyd will win in a decision. Might be controversial like Castillo. Who knows. I do think Floyd will win though.

You are thinking Floyd will win with your heart though, not your head. You just finished saying you haven't seen much of Duran, how can you form a logical opinion?

depends on the fight, they're all different. I will say this though....Durans style was relentless, but it wasn't reckless. He didn't just look for a ko, he broke fighters down. In fact, he was probably one of the best ever at breaking a fighter down, and THEN finishing him.

floyd beats this man like no other. i don't even kno why i am replyinh to this thread. at lighweight, floyd beats duran. there are so many mayweather jr detractors on this forum,that it takes away from the fight imo. duran had trouble with movers right? what is floyd? an elusive fighter who movesvery well. floyd would beat duran by moving and countering off of the block. and trust me, duran threw punches that floyd could block easily... duran is not as elusive as floyd was, and floyd was a better mover than srl by far. duran would have to bumrush floyd like jlc did but smart bumrushing, and i don't thing he could do it effectively enough to beat floyd. floyd beats duran at 135 no doubt. his arsenal would offset roberto all night. face it folks...floyd' skillset is very hard to overcome. castillo came close, but floyd moved enought and countered enough to get the victory in their 1st fight. duran had more skill than castillo but floyd's skillset is one another level compared to duran, point, blank, period. imo, victoriano sosa stood a better chance against floyd than duran did...he was more technical than duran was and floyd took care of him and made him miss bad, duran would be no different. think with your brain people and not your heart, duran loses to mayweather everytime.

Well, I havent watched all of his fights. But the ones I have seen he wanted to finish the fight. Like I said. Im not saying he is wild but when I see people who want to finish. I say brawler for some reason. Because when I think brawling I think haymakers. He beat Leonard on the inside, flat footed(both fighters), going toe2toe. Which Leonard doesn't do. Which Floyd doesn't do.

Floyd's timing can be argued as the best ever. You can argue that and have a legit arguement. Duran vs Floyd in timing... im taking Floyd every time because he has something that timing requires. Agility.

Also. Im sure you know. Strength or power means nothing when your going for a decision. Floyd looks for decision first and foremost. Hence, he wont rock Duran at any point in time. Thus he will pot shot to a victory.

Mayweather is only 5'7-5'8 would he have the physical strength to deal with a guy like Duran?

Good post. another thing to take into consideration............is this a 12 or 15 round fight. If it was 15 would Floyds hands hold up? I ask because he would have to throw a lot of punches against Duran. Any fighter who tried to just lay back against Duran was in for a long night.

face it duran had an easy ride at 135. floyd jumped from 130 straight into a title fight with the best 135lber of his time while duran took 2 years fighting bums at 147 before he got the cajones to face ray leonard at 147
