Mayweather IMO wins a rather one sided fight vs Duran, if he fights his fight I have seen the Duran fights. Duran is a all time great, WHEN YOU STAND DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF HIM, OR SHOW A LITTLE MOVEMENT. We saw duran vs a fighter that uses a lot of lateral movment and speed, counter puncching, angles, and defense, and we saw duran fight 20 round vs this. He won 2 of the first 8 rounds vs Leonard in their 2nd fight when ray boxed him, and he won 1 of the last 12 rounds when they fought their 3rd fight.

I only bring up the 3rd fight, because you have many Duran fans who will hype up the Barkly fight, then leave out the Leoanrd 3 fight which shows that Duran when you are in front of him he is a beast he outfought the younger bigger Barkley, however when a badly faded, retired for most of the 80s leoanrd fought him 5 months later in a fight duran wanted for revenge purposes, Duran once again showed he had nothing even vs the much slower inactive version of Ray leonard. It is because of the styles.

Thus Duran fighting Mayweather who IMO is not a Ray leonard, but he does possess the style that Ray used in hsi 2nd and 3rd fights with Duran. In fact he is a better defensive fighter, better counter puncher, would not be lured into a slug fest, great great conditioning.....All the tools leoanrd used to easily outbox duran. When ray used his tools that I beleive he has over a mayweather the heart, the ability to slug, power, this proved to be the wrong strategy vs Duran. Styles makes fights.

I fail to see what relevance that has to a 15 years younger and 30lb lighter Duran.

Think about that for a second.

We are talking about a Duran was prime 15 years before, which is longer than PBF's entire career and 30lb lighter which is about double the weight increase than PBF's much vaulted 130-147 run.

But we all know Mayweather at 135 is nothing compared to what he was at 130 and what he eventually became at 147.

147: Best defense in the game, quick counter punching, well rounded.

Duran does not beat Floyd at 147 that's for sure. He beat a SRL that decided to go toe to toe with him, Floyd would not fight like that. He wants the W and he will fight Duran to get the W, not to please the fans like SRL did in their first encounter.

Floyd doesn't like active fighters, he likes to take his time and think. Guys throwing punches at him consistently don't fit the bill.

Duran will smother him and will run him over. It will be way worse than what Maidana did to Broner. Duran was a master boxer/puncher.
