in regards to butes latest title defense:
"but the Bell Centre did everything they could to keep my next fight happening, so my manager, Al Haymon, asked me to go."
huh? am i interpreting this wrong? or can some one please explain what he meant?
I think he meant that he usually doesn't attend live boxing events but the Bell Center was going to do everything in their power to make Andrade's presence felt at Bute's fight, this would help interest grow in a rematch between him and Bute. It was in Andrade's boxing career best interest to attend the fight.
Most boxers dont like boxing. It is there job and when they are not training they dont want to do anythign associated with it.
I wouldn't say most, I'd say some. I see a lot of boxers at fights whenever I go. Guys like Chris Byrd, Steve Cunningham, Micky Ward, Emmile Griffith, Jameel McCline, Joe Greene at a lot of the fights I've been to.
