Where does Trinidad's 'Tito' name come from?

Here in PR, we have nicknames for proper names
For exaple, people whos name is Felix or Hector, we call them Tito.

Guys whos name is Antonio, we call them Tony or Toño

Guys whos name is Jose we call them CHeo

And so on!!!!!!!!!

Eduardo = Lalo
Lorenzo = Lencho
