I think the first mistake people make is comparing this to the Mayweather fight.

First and foremost Pacquiao is a southpaw. No matter how many hours and days in the gym he spends with Papa Floyd, he'll always be a left handed fighter. Against a southpaw you have to be effective with the right hand like Morales and JMM were. Like Barrera and Oscar were not.

Second of all Floyd didnt meet Hatton with fire initially. He clinched Hatton, rolled with punches, and chose his punches wisely. Although he was accurate, his punch output wasnt much. Pac ont he other hand will respond the only way he knows how when Hatton gets close. He'll throw flurries of quick punches. Hatton has never seen anything like that.

And Hatton will just stand there and let him get in unanswered punches?

Mayweather found the best way to beat Hatton, and carried out his game plan with perfection. Pacquiao's best chance will be to fight as Mayweather did, but he will not be able to do it as good and it won't work as effectively.

This fight will be closely fought, aggressive and the strongest guy will win.

Not to mention, in my opinion...Pac hasn't beaten anyone at 135 and up
Hatton shouldn't smother his punches which he has done in the past.
If Pac is anywhere close, Hatton needs to unleash to the body. Grappling shouldn't be his main concern. Unleashing hell on the body should. I would be interested in seeing what happens given Manny's smaller waist-line.

But can he get to Pac; can he cut off the ring?

          We'll see.

Hatton will still need the JAB with force and throw the straight-right..as well as a tight defense and head-movement. The Jab he had against Paulie was very good and I'm glad he has it working.

          Tough fight.

I'm picking Pac by KO but Hatton is still dangerous. I can't see him winning on points but I don't think it's out of the question that he could stop Pac by landing something big.
