Carlos Quintana is willing to fight, why wasn't Williams?

These 2 fighters have met a total of 2 times.

The first fight ended in a Quintana victory, the second ended in a Williams victory.

    Quintana vs. Williams I

In their first meeting, Williams was completely dominated by Quintana, a 6-to-1 underdog, for 12 rounds. Carlos out thought, out skilled, out boxed the much bigger and stronger Williams. Quintana showed what true boxing ability can over come that night.

    Quintana vs. Williams II

In their second meeting, Quintana was completely dominated by Williams as Paul used his physical advantages such as his strength and size to pressure Carlos landing big combinations taking Quintana out in the first round. Williams showed what true pressure coupled with power and strength can do that night.

Now, both fighters are 1 and 1 against each other. Why not a 3rd? According to this poll I created, a fighter winning on skill, intelligence and boxing ability is more impressive than a fight who's physical advantages serve him more.

So if Quintana's victory was more impressive? Shouldn't that indicate that a rubber match is needed? Assuming Williams gets past Wright?

Paul claims no one wants to fight him, yet the guy who, according to this forum, beat him more impressively than PWill did to him wants to fight and Willy aint even lookin his way.

Because PWill is ducking Quintana. He fears him. Quintana's call outs where of such frequency and ferocity, PWill has left 147 because of it.

All the arguments for why there shouldn't be a rubber match will go as such.

"Pual Williams had an off night...He was not focused for the fight and took Quintana lightly.

"We see what a focused Pual Williams that comes prepared to fight can do to Quintana."

All these excuses will be bull**** and useless.

Why Pwill is afforded an "OFF" night but when Quintana loses it's because he got out classed and the Rubber match would be useless.

Why can't it be that Quintana had an off night for the Second fight?

The world will never know....Thus goes the legend of the Greatest fighter ever to lose to Carlos Quintana.

I like the way you set up the pole before the thread.
People are going to be doing more back pedaling then Cotto
        when he faught Margacheato.

I dislike both fighters and I like both Williams and Quintana. Quintana outclassed Williams in the first fight. Are sure you are prepared to state that Mora outclassed Forrest in the first fight?

Pwill had a lot more shine while Marg was the top dog at WW since he was the last one to beat him. As long as Marg was on top he could get away wit not seekin the 3rd CQ fight. But when it became clear Marg-Pwill 2 wasn't happenin right away, the 3rd fight made sense.

To be honest, like I said many times during that period of time... QUINTANA NEEDS TO FIGHT 12 PERFECT ROUNDS TO BEAT PAUL WILLIAMS. How many times can a boxer have the chance to have 12 rounds of boxing excellence??? The 3rd fight would be a loss of time as Quintana would get his azz whooped once again.

                  Enough said, next!!!
