I think out of Juan Manuel Marquez, Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto, the one to give Floyd the most problems is Manny Pacquiao, because he is fast, can box, has decent power & is a South Paw (Floyd has to adjust to a Lefty). JMM is a counter puncher/Brawler but fights better as a Counter because if he tries to brawl he is too easy to get tagged & can be knocked down by a decent puncher. Miguel Cotto........Yes I do think he is a good fighter with a strong punch but he is just too easily hit to really be dominate against an elite fighter.

To me, Cotto is a fighter with a punchers chance & if you take that power away from him then he can be beat because of his lack of defense. Cotto eats too much leather to get a punch off. Shane Mosley would be tough for the early part of the fight but Floyd's conditioning would kick in & we all know that Floyd gets better as the fight progresses & Mosley gets a lil tired and looping with his punches that he throws off balance. Won't really know till the fights happen but if/when they do my $'s on Floyd all day.

Manny: Mayweather camp told me he will return

The fight that everyone wants to see is Floyd Mayweather Versus Manny Pacquaio no matter what the likes of Roach and Arum think. The only spanner in the works is Juan Manuel Maquez. He is tough and can upset the apple cart. He rocked Manny severally the last time, and could surprise Floyd. A risky venture by Pretty boy should he take him on.

Mayweather-Marquez would be off the hook. get it done ppl!!!! Also ppl need to understand that Cotto doesnt have a shot in hell. the only one that has a shot is Pacquaio. Mosley has a better shot than Cotto. Cotto is good guys but were talking about Mayweather here.

This is why boxing infuriates me. JUST THE OTHER DAY Freddie Roach and Arum said they don't want Manny to face Floyd but now Manny is talking like that's his next bout.

Unless Mayweather has severe ring rust I think he boxes Pacs head off & if its at welterweight maybe stop him. Pacs defence might have improved but hes still not hard to hit & his style is tailormade for Mayweather.

Mayweather stops Juan Manuel Marquez in 5 rounds!

This would be a total mismatch. I want to see Mayweather in the ring with the only fighter at 147 that has a chance in beating Mayweather, SUGAR SHANE MOSLEY! I have felt this way for years. I beleive Mayweather is ducknig Shane Mosely! The both are available to fight each other right now. Mayweather wants to fight a little guy in Marquez.. Pacquiou gets knocked out by Mayweather as well..

Massman, Floyd called out Shane a few years ago but Shane didn't want the fight because he wanted to go on vacation with his now ex-wife. PBF likes the big money fights. If he comes back, that fight will happen. But don't make the mistake and think that Shane is invincible because of his outting with Marg. Yeah he looked great, but you know what they say about styles right? Remember how great Marg looked against Cotto? There were quite a few on this forum who thought he was invincible too.

The problem is that the gulf between the best fighter, and number 2 or 3 is often that wide.

For example, when FMJ fought Corrales, Chico was #3 p4p. Floyd was somewhere near that. Maybe #8 or so. Floyd swept every round and knocked Diego down about a half-dozen times.
Another example is when FMJ was #1, and Hatton was #8. Hatton won maybe a round or two en route to being comically knocked out.

JMM doesn't have the power (size?) or skill package to truly threaten PBF. Marquez is a terrific fighter, but he would effectively be blown out by Floyd.
