With fighters jumping around from weight class to weight being linear champ is a great thing but it has more to do with actually being lucky enough to fight in a weight class where the champ stays put. But the ring bel in this day and age of paper titles is the only real way to recognize a true champion.

Co sign! Considering how hard it is to actually get that belt and the fact that most boxing analysts recognize that belt as the legitimate title in any weight class how could it not mean that you are the undisputed champion.

The ring belt is a championship belt that is supposed to represent the champion in the minds of all boxing writers, analysts, and fans around the world. The ring magazine came up with the idea where the only way a fighter can win the belt is when the number one and number two ranked fighters in the weight class fought each other and the winner of the match would be considered the true world champion.
