Surely they will be now, since anotha one of these scandals could be badly damagin to boxing. But as a fan, personally I'm sick to death of hearin about this **** every ****in day. Does the plaster revelation really make a ****in difference? We knew the second he was caught that he was doin sumthin illegal, and that's all that matters. Thankfully he was caught before the fight started and he could use it. He got caught, he got banned, he lost his cred, and his career may well be over. Why anyone would want this to get any more attention is ****** as **** imo. Especially on here, where we get 20 threads a day about it already. I must got a lower tolerance for repetitive bull**** than other cats here.
hey mangler i respect what your saying, i don't want boxing to look worse. i wanted this situation to get more attention towards margarito and not towards boxing as a whole. what marg did imo deserves a permanent ban and not a one year suspension. the lack of attention this case got is why his punishment wasn't worse. and then you got a disgracefull idiot like roach thinking of supporting this cheater by training him.

If you want boxing to look better to the less knowledgeable wider public, who by the way actually have a say in actually allowing the sport to continue, then you ban Margarito for Life and restore some of this ailing credibilty that the sport lacks.Dont jump on me for making a thread to talk about it,jump on the CSAC,the promoters within the sport, the sanctioning bodies etc.

No I don't think it was enuf, and I do agree it's fair to ban him permanently. I didn't intend my response to com off as an attack on you personally homey. Whether it was plaster or not, he was usin illegal wraps and they shoulda cracked down hard as they could right from the start. But they didn't, and now it just is what it is. **** makin this issue any bigger than it already is at this point.

**** the ignorant mainstream public, boxing doesnt need them to survive. I personally like boxing as a niche sport.
Only for the hardcore. The ignorant general public liking boxing means compromises that will "gay up" the sport.
            Thats the troof.

Ahh,I see,and thats what I have said in this thread. They either should have banned him permanently pending the lab findings or waited until after and then acted accordingly, and banned him permanently. The way the whole situation has been handled has been shoddy as f.uck from the start.

The reality is that it isnt that they have to like it.What use is their in a niche sport if some do-gooding idiot political lobby gets it banned or discredited to the point that even if its not illegal, its not credible,or viable? Boxing seems to shoot itself in the foot continually at a time and with a history that tells everybody involved with the sport that is the last thing it needs.

i think many people had already accepted the fact that dude tried to cheat, and we all believed it was "some kind of plaster-like substance."

the confirmation was just that, it wasn't surprising at all......

i think what most ppl want to know now, is how long he had been using the ****.....much debate on that, around these parts.....
