Is Hatton eligible to ever be #1 P4P?

Considering he looked terrible at 147lbs, and gets knocked out at 147lbs. Figures he might as well stick in the only division he's done good in. Does this disqualify you from P4P? P4P meaning weight doesn't effect you or your style and you can dominant through the rankings of weight classes. Ricky has showed he can't already so..?

Hatton needs to beat Pacman and Mayweather Jr. to be #1 P4P. He can't do either.

Pound for pound just means that out of all the divisions you are overall the best fighter, so i don't think it matters THAT MUCH if you only fight in one division, otherwise how come Mike Tyson was p4p number 1, i know its different but still.

If he could beat Pac and then JMM right after, he'd be there. I don't see it happenin tho.

Pound-for-pound is the term used in boxing, mixed martial arts and other combat sports to describe a fighter's value in relation to fighters of different weight classes.

Anythings possible, but if Hatton ever ends up P4P #1 then either
            a)the division is awful or
b)Ricky Hatton magically transforms into a completely different fighter and his previous style would be unrecongnisable.

Hatton Prob could of been a lightweight champ earlier in his career. Unlike most boxers, he really didnt start at the lowerweights and then eventually move to a more comfortable natural weight. And he did win a welterweight title so you really cant say he wasnt a good welterweight. Might not be a great welterweight, but at worst if he goes to welterweight he's a top 10 guy.

Agreed, he will be top 2 if he beats these 2... but not number 1 just from beating Pacquiao at his 5th weight class.
