Calzaghe has had pleanty of opportunity to shut up Carl.
However when offered fights with Froch he chose
    1. Evans " Welterweight " Ashira
    2. Sakio " Crappy " Bika
    3. Peter " Lost to Alfonso Gomez " Manfreeeeeeeeeeeeeedo.

Then when Carl is mandatory he vacates.

    Carl does have a point.

    Calzaghe Sucks.

This thread isn't about how great or otherwise Joe is, or about any "****riders" it's about Froch. The only reason Calzaghe has any relevance at all is that Froch spent half the interview calling out and trash talking a retired fighter, and he seriously needs to move on.

It's dumb for him to do that from a financial point of view anyway - it turns off a lot of his potential fan base in the UK. It's telling, and rather sad, that not a single TV station in the UK has yet made an offer to show the Froch-Taylor fight.

This guys a wanker. This is clearly his mancrush on Joe manifesting itself by repeatedly associating himself with Joe by making ****** claims. Joe wouldve destroyed him if they ever fought. Too much class.

Froch will be lucky to get past JT.

Yeah, that ****ing coward chose P4P ranked, established LHW lineal champion Bernard Hopkins over the guy with 0 name wins on his record, Carl Froch.

Jesus, what a ***** Calzaghe is, running to Hopkins to get away from Carl "The Greatest" Froch.

Not really, that is exactly who I keep hearing him compared to...

Overlooking Bradley was more excusable because they guy had never been out of California. Overlooking Taylor is just ****ing insane.

I always laugh when people use the likes of McIntyre and Pudwill to slate Calzaghe when both were last minute replacements for very respectable opponents. Either that or cancel the show. Same happened with Froch when he fought that Polish plumber last year.

As for Froch, his continuous calling out of Calzaghe was a relevant as Joe Bugner calling out Tyson in the 90's. Neither was simply on the others radar because neither were in the same stratosphere as the star in the division. If you want to fight the best you have to beat one of the top challengers - or, at the very least, someone in the top 20. Until this year, in his 30's, Froch simply hasn't done enough to even earn a shot at one of the contenders.

And that for me is the biggest tragedy here, because IMO Froch could have been at the top of the division. He had the power to trouble anyone, the ability to pick a punch and surprising speed. Sadly that was 3 years ago. He looks over the hill to me now, which is depressing because it's only now he's fighting some top 5 opposition. There was never a time when Froch could have beaten Calzaghe though and even Froch knows that.
