if we are being objective Margarito did look sluggish from the beginning of the fight. dont get me wrong Mosley beats him either way because Mosley has the perfect gameplan for margarito but im not surprised to hear Margarito say he had weight problems.
MARGARITO: "I was weight-drained in the Mosley fight"...believe him?

Mosley hurt him with that body shot and knew from there on Margarito could be stopped. He took away his aura of invincibility. Truly Margarito underestimated Mosleys power and his lack of D finally caught up with him. Plain and simple he got beat down.Comment

Cheatin'-ass Tony is saying that he had problems making weight for that fight. He is a HUGE welterweight, and you can't help but wonder what it takes out of him to make that weight.
Hand-wrap issues aside, do you think there's any truth to his claim that he was struggling to make weight for that fight?Comment

Well Oscar disappeared for three months and then came back trying to explain. In the interim, his entire 'team' was saying the weight was prolly the cause.
We all know that Tony was trying to cheat. Fully acknowledged. The link between the plaster (his fists) and his energy and chin seems questionable. Unless you are a proponent of the lack of confidence due to knowing you don't have your "secret" weapon theory. Yes, I agree that he should not have been using sheetrock in his Reyes.
Still, I would like you to answer my question. Do you think that Oscar was weight-drained for the Pacquiao fight?
you are comparing a de la hoya that last time he made 147 was about 7 yr ago and margo made weight 6 months agoComment

I don't believe he was weight drained but I believe that he had problems with the weight, there were reports a few weeks before the fight that he had ballooned up i between fights and was finding it hard to lose the weight, he didn't fight weight drained though.Comment
