We all know that Tony was trying to cheat. Fully acknowledged. The link between the plaster (his fists) and his energy and chin seems questionable. Unless you are a proponent of the lack of confidence due to knowing you don't have your "secret" weapon theory. Yes, I agree that he should not have been using sheetrock in his Reyes.

Still, I would like you to answer my question. Do you think that Oscar was weight-drained for the Pacquiao fight?
I think Oscar has no business fighting at 147, sure. But I also don't think ANYONE should make excuses for choices that THEY made THEMSELVES. Funny how we only hear about how much trouble guys have making weight AFTER they get smacked ******.

And, for me, this isn't just a Margarito "hate" thing. It goes for everyone. Oscar lost to Pac, weight drained or not. Tony lost to SSM, weight drained or not. Cotto lost to Tony, loaded gloves or not. If you can't prove it, it didn't happen.

Hand-wrap issues aside, do you think there's any truth to his claim that he was struggling to make weight for that fight?

I do think he was somewhat drained. He didn't look right to me at the weigh in. But I really don't think it would have mattered, he hardly hit Shane. Maybe he would have thrown more, but it just would have delayed the inevitable. Shane just has his #.

Yes he was weight drained, boxers DO NOT do this ever. He was also shot, past prime, overtrained, undertrained, had his family and pets held for ransom from kidnappers, drug cartels threatening to blow up his house, and had a bad hair day. True story....

dont you think he would have sited these issues directly after the fight if they were legitimate? Up until a few days ago this is the first I have heard of them .

different circumstances. Oscar had not been at that weight for a while. he was overtrained and it was obvious even to the novice. Here was a guy who weeks before the fight was below 150. He shoulda been 150 two days before the fight and taken the three pounds off in water, rehydrated to 162-165 and would have been much stronger. Margarito has been doing 147 a long time and knows his body's limits. If he has hit a wall he should move up because it will get nothing but harder for him from here on out. Course he wont have to worry about that if he is banned or has criminal charges pressed against him. Just think one minute you are the Alpha male the next you are gum on the shoes of boxing. Aint life a *****?

If its true its his fault, he knows his body so i dont believe it for one minute
