UK TV all turn down Froch fight

Sounds to me like Froch thinks he's got the legacy of Joe Calzaghe and thinks he's the ****. Fact is, he's not amazing and hasn't built up any huge following yet. He's also probably asking for way too much money so i don't blame them for not paying what he wants, they probably can't afford to give him the money considering we are in a recession and he's not a big name.

A satellite feed to all his fans in an adequate sized arena , a ford capri would probably fit them all in

setantas getting alot of undeserved **** here - fights like JMM vs diaz, dawson vs tarver, calzaghe vs hopkins/RJJ/kessler, haye vs barrett/macca, all these fights were shown on setanta and were repeated several times during the following day.

sky is a bloody rip off as another poster said if you pay for sky you should get everything that comes with sky not half the bloody channels for the full price!!

as for setantas commentators they're not all that bad, and if it really annoys you that much just hit the mute button. thats what i do on the BBC whenever mark lawrenson is commentating on a game.

Sky box office will probably pick it up, Froch V taylor is the 3rd biggest british fight this year (5th if Haye and hatton win and fight again this year)

I cant see it the fight is 4wks away they would need atleast that to promote the bout. I just cannot see them investing in a sure fire flop. Amir Khan had a big following outside boxing circles Froch is totally unknown.

As much as i disagree with Khan being on ppv, Warren has put on some really good cards with good undercards. Witter is not even slated to be on the Froch/Taylor card.

If Hennessy was serious about selling this night to the big guns he would surely have Witter on the undercard.

Froch/Taylor while a good fight for us fans its just not worth 15.00 and to non boxing fans they would never even give it a second glance.

Just my thoughts.

I'll admire Froch in a perverse way if he sees this **** out and doesn't accept any money from any UK networks. Of course it means he would have **** all over the fans but you'd have to admire that the guy just doesn't give a **** about anyone and doesn't care that he's a complete knob.

I think it would be a precedent of ****ish behaviour by a British boxer.
