              Another one is John Mugabi after he lost to Hagler. Mugabi didn't really have one big win in his career to justify his rep.

                Billy Conn.

                He doesn't really fit here because he had a great career with wins over several hall of famers but the reason he is remembered is because he gave a tough fight to Joe Louis.

                    I think some people are getting confused.

                    "best win is a loss" by definition means that said boxer had to have lost that fight.

                    floyd didn't lose to castillo, hence it can not be in this category.

                    kessler did lose to calz, hence it can be in this category.
