Its going to take a while for someone that has just gotten over cancer, to fight some good opponents. Anthony was even dropped in his first come back fight against a journeyman, so not only does he have to shake off all of that rust but he also has to see where his body is and what it can do at this point. I wish he would get back to original form though, when he first came out he was actually regarded as a better prospect than Andre because he won the gold medal in the olympics and is a harder puncher than his brother.
Why is Anthony Dirrell (15-0) fighting an age 40 opponent with a 2-16 record?

Hmmmm...
-Byrd was the IBF champion!
-Brewster has looked good in his past two wins against Sprott and Batchelder
-JC Gomez was the WBC mandatory after defeating McCall and Virchis
Those men were not bums! You consider them bums because they lost to a white man, and you are a racist black supremacist who deeply believes white fighters are inferior.Comment

Andre's opponent is a replacement because David Banks went to jail. This opponent is terrible for a replacement.I just saw this on BoxRec. His name is Dominque Azeez.

Do matchups like this help the sport of boxing?
And how about Andre Dirrell, in a non-competitive televised matchup against Derek Findley? Somewhat better, but still a mismatch.
David Banks, on the other hand, is a pretty big embarrassment to have as an opponent coming off wins over Hanshaw, Paschall and Oganov, which are all head and shoulders better than David Banks.Comment

I went through chemotherapy for something similar in 2003 and again in 2005 and I've never been 100% since - somehow my stamina and energy is just not the same. The cancer drugs had terrible side effects on me, I think they had a worse effect than the illness itself.Last edited by The Hammer; 03-28-2009, 04:44 PM.Comment

Wow sorry to hear that. I hope you get 100%. Cancer is like the worst thing someone could get, and i wouldn't wish it on anyone.
How come David Banks went to jail? He seemed like a pretty good person when he was on the contender.Andre's opponent is a replacement because David Banks went to jail. This opponent is terrible for a replacement.

I have no idea... Warp just told me that is what happened and that they had to find a replacement.
Banks actually seemed like a right **** on the contender to my eyes.Comment

LOL yeah he seemed ****y and stuck up on that show, but as far as his personality, he didn't seem like the kind of person that would do anything that would put him in jail. He was a family man, he taugh himself how to box ect. He seemed decent.Comment
