Attempted assault is not a crime in California or any where else but I agree he should get a stiffer punishment than just a year ban.

cotto should be the one leading the band on this one.

he's lost the most because of this cheating ****tard.

now - lets see who the first POS poster coming in here to defend the tramposo.

He should be banned for life...period - whether Cotto will succeed in a court of law will need to be seen (circumstantial evidence, but our legal system does account for that) - anyway, this should motivate Cotto and boost his confidence even further

I think Cintron can make a case also. He is clearly not the same fighter.

I agree with Miguel that Margarito should be banned for life. Loaded gloves is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. We are in a sport that violence is a big part of it and if we can't trust our fighters that they are clean and not using harding substances, somethings wrong. Miguel or any fighter on Margaritos resume could of been seriously hurt or killed so boxing needs to set an example and never allow him into the ring again. One year suspension is not a large enough deterrent to keep fighters from trying to cheat, to get to the top. Millions upon millions is worth the risk of a one year suspension. Be tough and stern, boxing.
