Miguel Cotto Says "Margarito Should Be Banned For Life"

I have nothing but respect for Cotto. He's handled this situation like a man. And he's right, Margarito (and Capetillo) should be banned for life. There has to be zero tolerance for plaster wraps.

I paid to go see Cotto against Jennings and I plan on going to see him against Clottey if I can. He's got my support (and it helps that I like the way he fights).

I'm starting to believe fully that Antonio Margarito used Plaster during the fight with Miguel Cotto because now Cotto is giving us some inside info
and it sounds like he was messed up pretty bad after the fight as well.
Although I still believe Cotto fought the wrong fight with a bad strategy
the plaster should have NEVER been used and it is a disgrace to the sport

Margarito is a *****! Bottom line, he was desperate, he lacked the skills to beat the REAL DEAL BOXERS of the Sport! To have no regard for the health of others is why he's should be banned for life, at least in the USA.

As much as I loved Margarito whipping his ass I think Cotto and everyother fighter that lost to Margarito has a right to feel the same way.

Fought the wrong fight? Did you watch what happened? Cotto boxed Margarito's face off for 6 straight rounds before attempting to coast. As soon as he took his foot off of the gas, and Margarito landed, Cotto was completely changed. His nose shut, his eyes swelled up, and he ran out of air. All in a very short period of time.

Mosley landed bombs that didn't make Cotto blink, and we know Shane probably has more 1-punch power than Antonio. Just like the fight with Mosley, Cotto was preparing to set up a strong finish by taking it easy for a couple of rounds. Antonio's hands were su****iously heavy during that time, and it turned the tide far too quickly.

As much as I would love to watch Cotto beat him up in a rematch, he's been completely vindicated by this revelation.

Cotto is correct in everything he said and I'm glad he's come aware to what probably did happen. His face swelled up in a more rugged look than normal. It's just sad that there is pretty much no way to confirm that Margarito did or prior bouts without them confessing it. I just find it odd how he went on a hot streak following his loss to Santos when he is a pretty generic fighter without his chin, which Paul Williams showed.

I hope he starts legal action against Margarito to force a investigation. If they do Margarito will either have to confess quickly so he doest **** up more, or wait for a investigation ly and when the investigation finishes got to ****ing jail.
