Williams doesnt use his height and hes no great technician, its his height,reach and volume that his opponents should worry about not his skills.if he beats wright, people including me im not gonna lie will state that wright was old and deff past it , and has not fought in 2 years. Saying this if Wright beats Williams thats going to mess up his career big time . These veterens have been putting the young cats to school these days and i feel wright williams wont be different. But yeah man Williams could take a crazy shot. His chin has been tested.

I don't agreee. The way Paul Williams fought Antonio Margarito was a technical and tactical fight. He had a blue print laid out & executed it properly. Winky Wright has always been in good shape and only lost to Bernhard Hopkins in how many years? Winky beat down Mosley twice and Trinidad when he tried to make a come back and has a draw over a then UNDEFEATED Jermaine Taylor. Wright by no means is a push over or out
of his prime, he just has been in active for awhile but a vet like Winky most likely has been in the gym. If Paul loses to Winky then there's no shame in losing to a vet & if Williams beats Wright then that will be a GREAT accomplishment, considering Wright has fought nothing but elite guys and only lost to the living legend Bernhard Hopkins.

Nah, I don't see it. Kirkland would be trying to pressure Williams & Williams would be working around Kirkland boxing his face in. Paul would most likely use the same strategy he did against Margarito for Kirkland. Williams punch out put is very impressive & he mixes them up effectively, plus Kirkland does get tagged too often & I feel Williams would rain on him all night. Kirkland is a good fighter, very strong & aggressive but he would need more to stop Paul because Williams is not a push over & wouldn't let Kirkland dictate the fight.

And Paul Williams didn't fold from the "plaster" the way Cotto did. I don't think you want to take it there if you're trying to hype Cotto. Williams beat Margarito. Cotto got his ass kicked by Margarito and since you don't go by facts, there is just as big a reason to believe Margarito loaded his gloves for Williams as there is for Cotto. The difference is that Williams took the punches and Cotto didn't. And the last time I checked Quintana got knocked the *** out by Williams and hasn't been heard from since.

The headline here sure is misleading Burner. He says he would beat him and then makes a zillion excuses of why he wouldn't fight him. I was even a bigger fan of Williams than I am now and this **** put me off. I defended him somewhat because of the fight with Winky he had lined up. But what has Winky done since then and before then? Notta. Kirkland was at least knocking fools out no matter how overmatched some of em were.

I really don't know how that fight goes down yet. If they ever fight, i'll comment on who wins, but right now, i don't know who wins...and I like both guys.

I'm not sure who would win either, but you gotta give the edge to Paul in terms of experience.. remember Kikland is a type of fighter that abandonds his defense in order to hit his opponent.. actually the two fighters are pretty similar in that respect.

Also Kirkland will need at least 3 fights before Paul, dude is coming off of a prison sentence and the Punisher just got done beating Martinez and Cintron.
