I know an offer was made to Margarito. I'm just doubting its legitimacy.
How did he give it up??? Williams’s team didn’t know this until half way through the camp. Also i think Phillips title also wasn’t allowed for the fight as well.

How can you doubt it when a letter was send? Which Arum responded to it? Seriously

        I call that weak
But he did fight him, right? He didn't make an excuse like another fighter we know when Margarito asked him for a fight right to his face.

        I call that weak.

Arum responded to it by saying it was a fake offer. Sure Arum can't be trusted but it raises su****ions considering that a Williams-Margarito fight couldn't have been worth that much money, in my opinion atleast.

Who says Williams-Cotto still won't happen? It would obviously have a better chance if Paul actually fought in that division though.

But he replied to a “fake” letter now.

Why would Margarito say no to his highest pay day???

In the first fight. Margarito didn’t want to fight Williams. He only fought him because he liked his WBO belt.
