I agree. He should have fought Cotto before retiring, and then no one would have had any legitimate complaints - but he didn't, unfortunately. Now if he comes out of retirement, he could really cement his ATG status by fighting Cotto and Mosley (because it's not clear which of them is the top Welter at this point).
If he fights Pac at 140, that would be great as well (but not instead of - at least one of Cotto or Mosley is more important for his legacy than Pac); but if his fans are saying he's not a natural Welterweight, then he has no excuse for fighting Pac at 147 or 144, IMO, he should fight him at 140.
Marquez doesn't have the frame or the track record to be considered a legitimate opponent above 135 at this point. Fighting him above 135 now would be okay for a tune-up fight but not for his legacy, unless Marquez beats a top 140 pounder first, and even then, the fight would have to be at 140 to be considered a legacy fight, IMO.
Good Article, as a Floyd fan i cant really argue against it... If Pac beats Hatton, a Floyd victory over Pac will be bigger than a Floyd victory over Cotto.Comment

yes, to you it's all about haters. as if people go to sleep plotting against Mayweather...
what I do know is this:
almost 2.2 million people in the U.S. payed to watch the DLH v. May fight..
not even half of that returned to watch the next, why?
now tell me, if Floyd would of done what Pacquiao did to Oscar that night
don't you think he would of had America in his pocket? exactly..
For comparison....De La Hoya vs Pac didnt do nearly as good as PBF/Oscar either.
Also the De La Hoya FLoyd fought was at 154. Much stronger and not weight drained.Comment

I think you are forgetting that De La Hoya(the highest grossing boxer of all time) was in the fight. Im not so sure its fair to compare that fight with the Hatton one. Your talking Oscar vs Floyd here man its gonna blow it all away.

No thanks on the burrito, I just had a grilled chicken salad.
But thanks.
However,
Even then, you still need to step up your comprehension game.
"A Spoiled Floyd Mayweather Jr. Hurt Boxing".
That is speaking in the past tense.
But yea, its nice to know you're racist.Comment

A gimme title defense or two is ok, but for three years FLoyd fought Rick Frazier type bums, he wasted his career from 2003-2005Comment
