The real question is whether Silva will man up and face Machida when he beats Rashad Evans for the UFC LHW title.

That's the only fight that matters as far as Silva goes. Machida is the only guy capable of beating him at this point, in my opinion.
      GSP!!!!!

Evans is a bad mo fo too though. Maybe to green to beat the spider.....

but who knows, all the names mentioned are bad ass!

I mean, think about it. Seriously. GSP got beaten up by Matt Serra who has minimal striking skills. What do you think will happen if GSP gets in there with the current best striker in MMA?
GSP has come a long way from that fight. He has improved a lot. BUT size does matter. I still think he's the ONLY guy that could beat him. Silva would be the favorite but I think GSP could pull off a win. Thats just me. You do have a very SOLID point. But points a side GSP is the only guy I think could do it. He is just ALL around a GREAT fighter on every level.

I will never forget when he F**KED up Matt Hughes..... Anyway I hope they (GSP/Spider) face each other..... Maybe test GSP with Evens? Winner takes the spider?

Yea, I agree. GSP is the total package. If he could carry 180lbs well, he could give Silva a run for his money. The problem is that SIlva has moved up to 205 with no ill effects seen so far. The weight difference would be too much to contend with because we know both buys will land blows. I just happen to think Silva's will be allot harder.

All in all though, I think GSP is the best P4P fighter in MMA. He can do everything and has proved what he is about while making adjustments to become a better fighter, etc.. And another thing is that George has beaten every man he has ever faced. Not many fighters can boast that with a lengthy career. And, yes. He made me a believer when he schooled Matt Hughes in the rematch.

If the Matt Hughes that beat Pierre the first time fought the GSP that beat Matt the 2nd fight, we would have the greatest MMA fight of all time possibly.

            You're also overlooking Damian Maia.

Huh? He's not fighting Fedor, he's fighting Silva...

RJJ would destroy Silva in a boxing match, would be fun tho..

Silva wont be destroyed or trashed by RJJ. Honestly, I dont think that. I think Silva has all the right stuff to win this fight. When it comes right down to it, Silva's only disadvantage is experience in the ring. Silva doesn't have as many fights in the ring as RJJ does. However, he has the neccesary skill set to beat RJJ.

I wonder what excuse will come up from all the people who say RJJ will win. If RJJ is KO'd.
                Dana white is gay.

But no way in hell silva wins this.

His "pro boxing" experience is a joke. Look it up. He would get ****d even by the old corpse of Jones. stop overrated MMA fighters punching.

Technical striker my ass. Silva would get Lit the **** up against a top Thai or K1 fighter under those rules.

If Silva wants to enter boxing, why doesn't he just enter boxing and see where his skills are at in that weight class?

Fatdor is not p4p 1. Only ******* MMA drones and nuthuggers thinks this.

And fatdor can't punch for ****. his striking is pretty average. He's gotten by with a historically ****ty MMA Heavyweight division. He beat the top tiers on Pride, but since then who?

Fatdor is the best heavy because of the total package-not his striking.

                    Roy would light him up.

Hell Cro Cop would light him up in K1 rules only. When you add takedowns, that's why Cro got his ass kicked in Pride. Different rules = different fights.

Because he would get sodomized by anyone in the top 20. MMA fans are complete morons. But I'm shocked that boxing fans are easily duped by the hype.

They are a jack of all trades and ARE NOT world class at any one discipline most of the time. This is Joe Rogaine marketing hype.

And I've been following UFC/MMA much longer than most of the trash that call themselves fans now and know nothing about the sport.

Look at Vitor belfort and how great his boxing looked in MMA. Then go look up his boxing "record". He failed to make the "Great" Brazilian Olympic team getting KOed in one round.
