So....Dawson now? Who knows, maybe Hopkins will come around like he did with Calzaghe. Hopkins didn't want to do 50-50 with Calzaghe, but he ended up doing so.

In the meantime, I'd like to see a Cunningham rematch with Adamek. That or he crushes Chris Byrd in an easy tune up.

edit: Keep in mind that Dan has been wrong before. Most noteable when Haye-Wlad was "dead" and now it's on the verge of being announced. So I wouldn't rule it out.

I do think Hopkins should do a percentage. Selling Adamek only 500k is pretty damn pathetic. Hopkins should get a 60-40 in his favor. That seems fair.

Adamek, next step should be Cunningham 2 or Jones, if not he should move up and fight either of the K bros.

Hopkins vs. Adamek is Dead Over Low-Ball Offer

A potential July 11 super fight between Bernard Hopkins and IBF cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek is dead in the water. It appears both sides were so far apart on money that Adamek's promoter, Kathy Duva of Main Events, sees no reason to continue negotiations with Golden Boy Promotions. From what Duva told boxing writer Dan Rafael, Golden Boy made Adamek a low-ball offer of a $500,000 flat fee. [details]

            I wouldn't call it a super fight.

Yeah that's a pretty low offer for the top cruiserweight in the world in what may be Hopkins' last fight.

                If that's true -- 500k -- then it's a ****ty offer. I don't blame them for turning it down.

Hop is the bigger name and is the guy that would bring viewers for HBO but damn 500k is low. For Adameks stature I would of assumed atleast a million since HBO probably would give hop 2-3 mil.

Bigger paydays in the future? Against who at Cruiserweight? The fight with Hopkins IS supposed to be his "bigger payday".

not for 500 k, which, after all costs would be closer to around 200k
