I see the reflexes not good enough on his way in. B Hop gets nailed on his way in, trying to see whats up. Probably in the 3rd round.

It might get ugly after that.

    Dawson by wide UD.

That really is a low offer from GBP and Hopkins.

I think they're feeling him out.

You always throw out your lowest offer when trying to buy something, and this is no different.

I'm pretty sure they'll come to an agreement eventually.

Doesn't seem like it to me this time, Hopkins just seems to be saying take it or leave it. I could be wrong though.

LOL@ Adamek turning the fight down, it's the first offer! It's called negotiating. All fights start with an initial offer, then the other camp must respond either accepting or demanding a higher percentage.

Adamek is pretty ****** if he ends up turning down this fight. Here is a fight against a 44 year old, from a smaller weight division, who is a LEGEND in the game and most definitely would be the biggest name on his resume, not too mention get him a ton of exposure to boxing fans who don't know of Adamek.

****** move and it sounds to me like Adamek (or his people) want no part of bhop. If they did they would immediately begin negotiating (that's how the business works).

With that said, the fight can still get done. We've seen COUNTLESS times fights "dead in the water" from Hopkins/Calzaghe, to de la hoya/Pacquiao, to Pacquiao/Ricky Hatton, etc. etc. etc.

This could be also a move by Adamek's people by putting a statement out to the press to show they mean business and will not accept a low figure.

What you said last. They aren't ****** and have leverage because Adamek sells out Newark every time he fights. If it doesn't get done, put Olafobi in there. That's a fight I want to see and I know they will both take it.

Gotta love how I get neg repped for being a Hopkins fan, when it's OBVIOUS that things I say that could make me seem like a nuthugger are in no way, shape or form genuine. My "I smell *****" choruses have been a mainstay on this board FOREVER, not even with Hopkins either, with other fighters as well.

Gracias for the Red K. I'm glad I can ruin someone's post browsing, and possibly their entire day

I would be very dissapointed if this fight doesn't get made.

hopkins has been accused of makin unrealistic offers before and this just proves it, adamek does not need hopkins he is the cruiserweihgt champ and has a large fan base and will do just fine without the hopkins fight

From what Duva told boxing writer Dan Rafael, Golden Boy made Adamek a low-ball offer of a $500,000 flat fee. [details]

honestly hopkins needs to give adamek a little more respect. $500,000 is a farce
