    Because he's not a lightweight.

The fact of the matter is that Gatti has been saying since LAST YEAR that he wanted to fight Kostya Tzyu. His management was even talking about putting it together back then. I think, though, that when it came down to it, his maqnagement was too weak in the wallet to let it happen. They have a sweetheart deal with HBO. They're making millions of dollars and the biggest threat he will possibly face has no chance of doing permanent damage to Gatti. That's what they're looking at. Bu even Gatti's management has admitted that Artuto wants Kostya. They won't let it happen. He's not responsible at all.

As for Gatti getting knocked the **** out, well, guess what. It ain't gonna happen. Only De La Hoya was able to really stop Gatti. The only other stoppage loss on his record came from Angel Mafredy on cuts. Gatti has faced some real nagers in his time, and it's true, he doesn't have a great chin. But his tremendous heart has kept him from getting kayoed, and it will continue to do so in the next few years. So will his power and rediscovered technique.

So gatti is the man because he fought ward 3 times and lost once and because he stopped little ass Dorin with a body blow The same Dorin who had a draw with that garbage ass spadafora. I asked the question just to see what type of response it would get. This isn't about me. I know what I know about boxing I know enough about boxing to know that gatti is one major fight away from getting whopped decisely. So I guess you would also believe that he will be floyd mayweather?

I totally agree. Arturo Gatti is probably 10 times tougher and braver than anyone you've ever met in your life.
Let me put it this way...how many people have the balls to get up and survive R9 Gatti-Ward I?

This has to be a joke!!

Gatti isnt a coward!! Sure his team want to cash in and dont want to risk him, but that doesnt make him a coward.

If i was Gatti i'd doing exactly the same, cashing in!!

Gatti is the man because he has the biggest heart out of every active fighter that I can think of today. Everyone know he is not the most technically sound fighter out there but no one cares. He gives 150% out of every performance, and you know his fights will always be worth your time. It's the coward remark that didn't sit too well with people.

BTW, Dorin's draw with Spad was contraversial. As for Mayweather, Gatti can hurt him that's all I'm going to say.

Jr welterweight am I correct my bad, I was just upset at the fact that I can't see him fight tszyu or some of the other top fighters. I actually like Gatti, but I am wondering why his camp ain't trying to work something out with the networks. I seems to me like they are not ready to see him lose again yet.

Gatti can be many things but he is not a coward.Putting him against KT(is that what you had in mind) would be a mismatch and his management understands it. Gatti is now a face of HBO and they dont want that face to be fractured by KT, will look bad not just for Gatti but for the whole HBO and they definitely dont want it. As for his rediscovered technique... Well he still gets hit a lot and when you fight somebody like zoo all the heart in the world will only take you to hospital with brain damage. Gatti is good but he is not one of the all time greats(like Pryor) to really compete with Kostya.
