I'd love to see that fight, but alas it won't happen.

Btw, does anyone know why Vitali blinks so much during his fights? He always has this funny, surprised look on his face with his eyes blinking like crazy.

Just an observation. Maybe it's his way of getting through the match?

I noticed that too, it looks like he's on ***** street half the time when he's actually fine.

By the way, Gomez missed a big oppurtunity on Saturday. Vitali's left eye was ready to burst if Gomez put any leather on it at all.

I wonder if that may still be an achilles heel after all these years - if someone were to pound on that eye for a few rounds, maybe it'd open up again and we'd be singing Scar Tissue.

Here's a comparison of the brothers careers:

            Vitali
Biggest wins - Gomez, Peter, the immortal Danny Williams, Corrie Sanders, Kirk Johnson.
Losses - Chris Byrd (forced to quit), Lewis (was winning ,TKO, cut)

            Wlad
Biggest wins - Monte Barrett, Byrd (twice), McCline, Peter, Brock, Brewster, Ibragamov, Thompson, Rahman.
Losses - Brewster, Sanders, Purrity(TKO'd in all 3 fights)

Yet somehow Vitali receives more credit and boxrec has Vital as their #1.

It all just makes me scratch my head.
I fixed it for you a little.

Vitali is obviously the better fighter. Wlad is obviously the better technician.

Vitali would beat Wlad 9 out of 10 times and Wlad knows this. He has even admitted it.

Absolutely nobody regaurds that as a loss that knows anything about boxing.
Byrd was basically being shut out. No way he could ever beat Vitali barring an injury.

              So, technically Wlad avenged nothing.

I think this is the key to beating both of them..get in close and pummel their bodies- when the guard drops, start picking away at the chin while giving them no space to operate.
There's been a whole lotta guys try that. Neither brother has been beat in that manner either.

As a matter of fact, Corrie Sanders was the only fighter to actually be beating a Klitschko in a professional fight at the time the fight was stopped.

                That's impressive.

In my opinion, Vitali has really never lost.

In my opinion, Wlad has faster hands and feet, better conditioning,
a crisper jab but has a glass chin and has been knocked out three times.

Vitali has KO power, better timed punches, an iron chin, better ring
generalship and i don't think he has been knocked down it a fight.
He lost two fights, one because of a shoulder injury and the other a cut,
but was winning on points in both fights when they were stopped.

If you compare both Klitschko's against Samuel Peter, Wlad was knocked down
three times and won on points, whereas Vitali bathered him for nine rounds.

P.S. I think if, Vitali wasn't cut in the lewis fight, he would have knocked him out.
100% agree. Vitali had stunned Lewis several times and was more than getting the better of him. Lewis had cut Vit, but never hurt him. Both men were very tired from the pace but Vitali was ready to keep fighting whereas Lewis was relieved that the fight was stopped. Vitali KO>Lewis in the 8th round if the fight had contd.

Based on what? Vitali has never been hurt or knocked down in a professional prize fight.

Lennox Lewis did everything he could and got out of the rematch that everyone wanted to see. I mean everyone!

That was the biggest fight that could have been made at the time and every since. And Lennox passed. Why?

Because he knew he couldn't beat Vitali Klitschko.

                      Yawn.

Or maybe - JUST MAYBE - he retired happily because he felt old, slow and past it? Good enough reason to hang 'em up and let whoever wants to take the belt shine. Vitali's had an excellent career since then, and Lennox spared himself from injury at the hands of a huge puncher.
