It's not correct at all. I agree with you. Because before you know it you got hit by super quick punches that you don't even see coming. How can you time what you can't see?

Also Barrera was very skilled at this too. I agree 100% with Floyd Sr., but back in their primes, MAB and BHop had a good bit of speed as well..
Pacquiao doesn't have a regular kind of rhythm though. He is very syncopated. On the other hand, Hatton has regular timing. That's why he got knocked out by Floyd. That check hook was perfectly timed, not a particularly brutal punch, but beautifully timed.

With ring generalship, good footwork, and decent headmovement. I'm not saying Ricky posseses these tools, but this is how a slower fighter beats the faster man. Take Hagler for instance. He had none of these things against SRL and got embarrassed(bla bla it was controversial, but he lost and was made to look silly at many points). Marquez isn't as fast as Pac and he found his way to time him, watch Morales time him all day with the straight right in their first meeting.

Hatton ain't got the style to try to time Pac. He's gotta be aggressive all the way.

YeP, he partied like a Rock star. Not that much anymore, but he and Hatton are P4P the best drinkers right now.

I havent heard of him drinking that much this days, but he use to be really wasted. Like done!!!!!!!!!!!

You're right, it's Pac with the in and out movement, the ring generalship, the head movement, and the stamina. He has all the tools that Hatton needs. I'm just saying Floyd is right that Superior timing is how you beat speed. Hatton could win if he learned how to time Pac, which is something that has been done before, but I believe it is not in his ability. He may however win by wrestling the smaller man, and we also haven't seen Manny get hit by a lightweight, so Ricky is a pretty huge test. Again though, I am picking Pacquiao to win via TKO.

I see your points but let's remember it's Hatton fighting Pacquiao we're talking about. Marquez is a great counter puncher and Morales was an amazing all-round fighter. These are the guys who gave Pac trouble -- slick fighters. Hatton, God bless him, is anything but slick.
