pacquiao hit david diaz at will and it took him 9 rounds.

the last shot would have taken diaz out for sure but.......

EVERY single punch manny landed stunned , hurt or staggered hatton.

let's not make it out like hatton took one big blow that most guys couldn't take.

every single time manny landed ricky got hurt. some of them weren't even flush or looked full strength.

manny fought diaz at 135 and after the ko people thought manny lost some power jumping to 135.

manny fights ricky at 140 and ricky made him look like tito trinidad.

The difference there was that Diaz was getting hit with the punches mainly from a distance where he could at least anticipate what was coming at him, it didn't do him much good because Pacquiao was still tattooing him but Diaz wasn't running into shots that he didn't see coming for the most part, but when he did run into a shot, he got knocked out. Hatton didn't see those shots coming at all.

Just to be fair to Ricky, the Diaz fight was Manny's first venture north of 130, and he doesn't know what to expect except that he knows his future opponents at 135 (and above) will be heavier handed and more resilient to his power punches. He played it safe and was contented to pepper David with punches to soften him up a bit for the kill in the later rounds, and that was their plan and he executed it to the letter. Besides, there's no need for Manny to gamble a bit by going toe-to-toe with Diaz at the start, because Diaz was so slow as a turtle and was there to be hit at his own leisure.

I really believe that was also Team Pacquiao's gameplan until Ricky pissed Manny off with his grappling and his rabbit punches. I could've sworn I heard Manny said to himself, "**** it! If you want war, I'll give you war!" He traded bombs with Ricky and he was just too fast offensively and defensively for Ricky to handle...

I don't think they're gameplan was to move as much as he did against Diaz, the Diaz fight was more about Pacquiao getting off first against Diaz, the Hatton fight was more about Pacquiao timing Hatton on the way in, which is exactly what Pacquiao did, you could see Roach and Moorer working on this on 24/7. We can't be sure though, only Pacquiao and his team know what the gameplan was for sure but if that was indeed their gameplan, Pacquiao executed it perfectly, except for some moments at the beginning of round 2 where he was looking for the knockout a little too much.

I think Hatton has a better chin, but Diaz's chin looked pretty solid too. Maybe "Ninong" really has punching power. Regardless, they both got KTFO. See, this is why they stopped the DLH fight in the 8th. Had they let him continue, he would have suffered the same fate. Garunfcukinted. Now the real question is does Mayweather have a chin?

i think it's a tossed for these two warriors. they say Manny was getting better each fight. so if David was able to stand few more rounds than Ricky, thats coz Manny that time is only an ok fighter i think. and if that battle happened today with David, he wouldnt last 3 rounds too just like Ricky..

oscar robbed manny of a highlight.

all that beating was just manny boxing.

roach didn't tell manny to go for the ko 'til right before 9th.

I don't think their chin's can be judged based on their respective fights with Pacquiao. Manny was a different fighter when he fought Diaz and has changed even more in his battle with Hatton.

                    true.

but ricky went on ***** street everytime manny touched him.

different styles and gameplans maybe but david diaz had to get beat down before he got koed.

Why do you think that is? You think Roach wanted to punish DLH or does Roach respect DLH? Regardless, Pacquiao is getting fcukin brutal out there.

The cold thing about it is that Manny always says: "it's nothing personal." after he fcuked somebody up. So in translation: "Sorry i had to beat your ass"
