He has been in very few wars.. and rarely gets hit.. he is always in top shape.. does not abuse drugs or alcohol..

The 30 year old athlete being done is a standard long past it's worth.. by about 30 years now..

If he is done and ripe for a loss due to his Ring-Rust or diminished skills

what does that say about these guys??.. (age listed is at time of the fight)

      Hatton-30
      De La Hoya-35
      Baldomir-36
      Judah-30
      Mitchell-35
      Gatti-35

Or the guy he is thinking about coming back against who is about to turn 36, Juan Manuel Marquez ???

How do you justify this without discrediting Floyd's wins ???

      Someone please explain??
Thats the whole reason of a tune up ( To see where he is at )

I don't give a **** who he fights on his return, i just want to see him fight

After his comeback fight, sure fight Pacquiao, Cotto etc but after coming off an 18 month layoff it is plausible that he could have lost a step so he needs to asses where he is at, he could fight Michael Jennings for all i care

Are you going to tell me a man who is always in top shape.. and who is the most skilled fighter of this generation is going to suffer from a 14 month layoff while living a Millionaires lifestyle???

It will effect him about 2% which still makes him 100% more skilled than the next guy..

THat's your opinion and that is completely fine... My opinion... I feel like an extended layoff can definitely damper somebodys skills.. especially someone who relies on timing and reflexes.

Your logic is as if there's a universal age as to when a fighter gets "old", when it should be obvious that it's different for everyone. Rid**** Bowe got old at like 29. I'm not saying Floyd isn't in his prime, but who are you to determine that when you haven't even seen him fight since his layoff.

Anyone who doesnt think Mayweather hasnt been training and sparring secretly during the entire duration of this 14 month layoff is in serious denial. With his expected jully 11 return...You dont take a 14 month layoff and suddenly expect to be in fighting condition for a 10 or 12 round fight in 3-4 months of training.

Thats where you and me differ then for sure.. I think Floyd's greatest assets is his ring smarts and adaptability ... even a slow fighter can win with ring smarts.. Just ask B-Hop..

so even if he has slowed down a little.. it ought to not be noticeable..

                    His stamina is still prime
                    His accuracy is still there
His reflexes.. there is not much difference between 30-32 if you are in shape
                    His Power is the same
His timing might be off for about a round

His Mental game will more than make up for any loss of speed

this isn't Roy Jones we are talking about .. Floyd is so much more than just speed

Being in shape, and having "real fight speed" timing are two different things...

There is a reason it is important to stay active and fight often as a fighter..
