Vitali Klitschko Targets Chris Arreola For LA Showdown

If the same Vitali that fought last saturday shows up he'll lose. I just saw the fight (props to circle) and I dont understand that one of the best heavyweights today is fighting opponents with the same game play: pawing the jab to set up the right hand, without any defense whatsoever. Arreola has looked smarter than to fall for that kind of one dimensional fighting, at least I hope he is. Vitali has massive power though so Im not counting him out in any fight.Comment

Im not sure how a guy who savages and knocks out everyone he fights can be boring but umm, ok.
Having said that...I dont know if Arreola can beat Vitaly but I think he'd make it a helluva scrap for at least 7 rounds. I'd like to see it, especially in L.A. Staples would blow up for that fight.
Come to think of it, maybe these are the same guys who like to watch Mayweather run and stink out crappy decisions huh? I mean come on, every time Vitaly fights he beats the living crap out of his opponent and finishes him off in brutal fashion...what the hell is unexciting about that??
Or maybe Teddy Atlas is posting on here under a different name.
Here's some green on ya. Sprinkle Sprinkle!Comment

i dont agree with the only reason arreola is on hbo is he's mexican....its because he's undefeated and is always in fights fans love to see.....im a big fan of his and hope this fight gets made....i also dont agree with vitali being boring i usually enjoy his fights and i know for a fact arreola wont get ran thru....the odds are that he will lose but he'll find a way to make it interesting believe that.......anyways my money would be on klit but this is one bet i would not mind losing.....Comment

Damn. Who are we going to hype next after Haye and Arreola get smashed? I would definitely make the trip out to LA if the undercard is any good.Comment

did you see gomez's final connect % , obviously not. gomez is a southpaw and southpaws are difficult to reach with the jab and vit had to adjust. arreola is much easier to hit than gomez and is much slower. this is a perfect style match for vitali. anyone thinking arreola beats him just doesnt understand boxing. only way vitali loses is if he turns old and shot overnight or gets badly cut or injures himself. all slim chances. vitali stops him within 6 rounds. arreola needs to get a defence if he's going to make this even semi competitive
Not to mention that Peter and Gomez both landed less than 60 punches apiece in 8 rounds of fighting. That's 7 connects per round.
Vitali definitely deserves respect.Comment
