WBC Shamefully nuthugs Vitali

No. And he shouldn't. Only thing is that Lennox, like all HW champions, is extremely proud and selfish. I'm sure he doesn't like to read that statement. Deep down he's likely convinced that if he would he could become champ again especially after seeing Vitali running low on gas against Gomez.Comment

I didn't say it wasn't true per say, but essentially they're saying biggest = best, which is not necessarily the case. Boxing isn't ranked like that, that's the whole reason we have divisions.
Putting a 100 lbs guy in with a 250 lbs guy is clearly ludicrous. You can't make the 100 lbs guy 250 lbs, any more than you can a 250 lbs guy 100 lbs.
So what's the point in speculating on them fighting at such different weights.
Speculate based on a pound for pound basis at least. And there, Vitali is not a top pound for pound guy.Last edited by Kris Silver; 03-24-2009, 04:33 PM.Comment

fair enough, my mistake.
p4p the best is just plain ******. Even his mum probably wouldn't agree with that.
But I cant see anyone beating either of the brothers. Haye has a punchers chance of getting lucky against Wlad, as everyone has, but the nipple has practically none against Vitali.Comment

Yeah he's heavy handed and he picks his shots extremely well, he was picking Gomez off from the 2nd round onwards but his power is overrated. KO ratio's look good but the proof is in the opposition.
The major incident when i think of Vitali's power is that straight right he landed on Lewis, it was prefect, **** on the chin, putting his body thought he punch yet Lenny stayed on his feet, even tweety Byrd absorbed the best of his output.
I suppose it's the usual reactionary hyperbole after a fight, first he's a great and now the biggest puncher in history, these guys can't see further than the end of their noses.Comment
