Sad but true.
And as far as the topic is concerned, when it happened, I got pissed, but later didn't care. Hopkins became my favorite fighter for a while and I bought all this "just for promotion" crap.
When I used to think about it, I hated how it pissed of most PR's here, especially Tito. Most PRicans here want PR to be a state (Tito is one of them), so it's kinda ironic they turned this into a US-PR feud. I thought - how can they get upset at this, if by wanting to CEASE to be a country and BECOME the US, they are putting down the flag themselves figuratively? It's the paradox of the colonized mind, and this phenomenon is widespread in PR. The majority of PRicans who want PR to be a state know little to nothing about US culture and speak no English at all, so it is very contradictory that they were waving their flags proudly standing on the side of the PR-US feud. Becoming a state requires complete assimilation, and these people are unable to see the changes statehood would bring because they are too stuck in their native PR ways and have been totally brainwashed and conditioned by the US into thinking that everything they do is for PR's best interest.
I am one of the roughly 5% of the population here who want PR to be a free country, so if it was me, and my US American opponent did what B-Hop did, I'd go NUTS. I know me, and I would see this as another example of the US disrespecting my country and my culture. I believed Hopkins when he said he didn't mean it like this, but after listening to that radio interview, his true colors came out. He said he threw the flag on the floor to let PRicans know "how I feel about y'all", and that says it all to me.
I also remember how he came into the ring screaming "USA! USA!", and this shows that he is clearly just another one of the millions of Americans that have no respect at all for us and only wish to exploit us and keep us down.
So I'ma say it like this - **** B-Hop and any other US American who only wants to keep us subordinated. Y'all should go to Llorens like my man ChampBox said and see what happens!Comment

PR 's not like any of the Citys in the main land. You cant compair Philly to PR becouse out in philly you dont have yound kids under 10 that will pull out an assult Riffle on you. Just a diffrent life style in some of the ruff areas in PR.

This Horus c_o_c_K sucker should be banned.
Anywho... B-Hop is an ATG in my book.. Yea I hated him for it, I was young, but I've grown respect for the man and his resume. B-Hop will always be remembered for doing that, and that was one of his greatest wins, along with greatest flag throw of all time to disrespect a fighter and KO him. It got to Tito, and he failed to pass the test. Enough said.
