Berto would be a good matchup. They both have great handspeed and are about near the same height.

Dont get me wrong, I dont think he's all time special by any means and I have ripped him myself but I do think he matches up well with alot of guys and I think people sleep on that because of the Collazo fight when I actually think alot of that had to do with Collazo also being a good fighter and him being Southpaw. I talk about the Southpaw thing alot on these boards and I still think people overlook it too much. Only a few guys really know how to fight Southpaws. Most Southpaws dont even know how to fight Southpaws. Thats why I think that Mosley & Cotto are clearly better then Collazo but Berto would have a harder fight with Collazo then he would the other 2. I feel the same way about Williams. I beleive if Williams fought Cotto, Mosley, and Quintana a hundred times I bet he beats Cotto and Mosley more times then he beats Quintana even though there clearly way better then Quintana. I think Pac & Calzaghe are beast but I think they would have a few more losses if they werent Southpaws. I think JMM would own Pac if he wasnt a Southpaw

Berto has no defense, so Floyd would be able to hit him... a lot, and Floyd's defense would take Berto's offense out of it quite a bit.

Berto would get diced up by Floyd... true story.

I can't believe I'm trying to convince DLT that Floyd would have an easier time with someone than he thinks.
I agree 100% with all of that but Im just kind of shakey with Floyd's size so I wouldnt want him to face a strong guy like Berto in his 1st fight back, "unless" he was looking to face a Mosley or Cotto in his very next fight. If he didnt have the layoff then I would say that he would kill Berto but in his 1st fight back Id rather have him fight a smaller guy unless he's going after a WW for his next fight

It would never happened but if all things were equal I think that it would be a very good tuneup

When and what have his last few fights been? He's completely slipped off the map.

JMM isnt a welter weight naturally but he is a big name right now...and a threat to Mayweather despite what some people say. JMM is a threat to anyone around his weight class777

i just thnk thats ridiculous to put floyd immeadeltly back in the ting with marquez.....if floyd lost, it would be the end of his carear no matter what....floyd cares about 2 things legacy and money at this point.
