Im not JUST blaming weight on this fight bringer.. .Im not... I saw the fight... I saw the angles, movement and activity Bernard gave Kelly...
But Jermain isnt slow on his feet either... and at 160 lbs... Kellys stayed with Jermain the entire fight..
I realize Bernard and Jermain are different style fighters... but Kelly looked slow, sluggish and flat footed.. and didnt look content to barely throw a jab... Personally... I blame the weight increase... at 166, he wasnt as good at 160.. and at 170.. he was even worse.
I also blame Bernard Hopkins.... for the love.... of all that is sacred.
Obviously if the fight is prime on prime at 160 it is even more one-sided and Hopkins demolishes Kelly. Obviously.Comment

You don't think that had anything to do with Jermain's fight plan?
I mean, Taylor was desperate for respect in the first fight. People thought Wright beat him, people were pissed that he was fighting smaller men (Ouma, Spinks), people were even more pissed at his performances against said smaller men (The Spinks fight being the most boring fight ever recorded, Ouma going the distance with him), etc....
Jermain came in wanting to knock Kelly out. And he almost did.....almost. But he fought Kelly's fight, and punched himself out. And when the time came for him to turn it around, he didn't have the energy to.
Then look at the second fight, where Jermain keeps to his boxing gameplan. A lot of people felt Jermain won that fight.Comment

In the prime of their careers - Roy was a better Boxer then Bernard. Roy had an extensive amateur career and honed his skills. B-Hop often says he got his lessons on the streets of Philly and in Prison.
I think Bernard as of now has a better resume then Roy, but Roy getting that Heavyweight title and that win over Bernard back in 93 puts Roy on top IMO.Comment

I can see where you're coming from, and I appreciate you input. But I just want to address the bolded part real quick.
