Guess what's funny here. The germans don't worry about America anyway. Not once was the US mentioned in the broadcast. Compare that to Mikkel Kessler from tiny Denmark. Whenever he fights or appears on TV the big issue is always: When are he going to fight in America.

Germany is big enough in itself to make blockbusters. They don't give a **** about Americuh.

Americans do like athletes like your describing, BTW. Pavlik was certainly being brought up as a "working class hero". Steve Nash was the darling of the NBA. There's countless examples.
There are indeed also 'good guys' from America.

Tyson just had that predatorial unpredictable aura and he got plenty of air time both when he was sitting nicely alongside Larry Merchant talking boxing history and when he threw stones at reporters who got to close. The media swallowed everything loving every second of it. But it surely wasn't good for the kids to see such a man being so famous and behaving so badly IMO.

The Klits fight on a commercial broadcaster. I am not sure but I think you have to pay a fee get the channel. It's not PPV.

Abraham, Valuev etc. are on public service terrestial TV.

Boxing is on free tv in Germany, just shows what you have to do for the sport to flourish.

Ironically, a Tyson fight would probably do collossal numbers in Germany.

                      Absolutely.

Atlas is an idiot. He is far too negative and seems to have a real dislike for Vitali. Espn needs to ditch Atlas and find someone competent to take his place.

Teddy is really quite strange, from his predictions, scorecards to his ramblings and constant repetition.

It will be interesting to see if he is as negative on Friday as he was during the Vitali fight.
