Sad stuff. Their 3 fights were as brutal as they were beautiful. In some strange way, it would be kinda perfect if they retired together on the back of the trilogy.

I wouldn't like to see a diminished version of either getting taking apart by Lopez.

It's not a rhetorical question, this is something I want a yes or no answer for.

Besides, neither Vasquez nor Marquez owe you a doctor's note, which you seem to be seeking. Nobody besides you has doubted the veracity of their injuries, which considering the natures of their careers are very believable.
I don't even care, to tell you the thurth.

These two last fight was 2008-03-01, a year ago, when Izzy confronted Juanma, I posted he was serious competition here, and was ready to fight, and this early in Juanma's career, I would have doubts of him fighting a pound for pund boxer, which to the organization of boxing, they are. But a year later, you don't just develop dizzyness, and a detached retina, which Abner Mares had, and was his excuse too. He moved down in weight, why would a boxer move down in weight?? Because he is ducking somebody, and anybody who has followed the sport, knows he has always stayed close to Juanma to build up a fight, but he moved down in weight and put their mega fight on hold. Every boxer has injuries, I can tell you, besides the three wars they been together, I know a **** about their past fights. They want to retire now, its an excuse.

which other wars or damaging fights have they been in, that they bleed from both eyes? LOL

There have been more than a couple of boxers in history who have reportedly felt head aches and dizziness after brutal fights yet have continued to fight on and ended up with serious injuries, even death.

Do you really think it's an excuse to duck another fighter? That's a bit delusional to be honest.

I hope both of them retire with their health intact although I doubt they'll ever be completely healthy again after those 3 wars that they had.

Just take a look at Bobby Chacon and Bazooka Limon as examples of fighters who should've retired long before they did.

Headed to retirement, there not actually retiring !!

They probaly are not gonna duck Juanma, but if Juanma beats them, be sure to hear the excuses already, they been threw wars! Two have an detached retina, and one gets dizzy !!

I've sat here and read how Ponce DE Leon, JMM, Barrera, Morales, and De La Hoya were un-primed, 4 top fighters as soon as they lost.

And how Margarito hadn't cheated against anybody but an old Shane Mosley, and that Mosley only took steroids against DLH !! Once you juice you use it against everybody you fight !

Its not delusional, at all. Infact, its just an excuse to be used, when and if they lose.

              I rather see Juanma-Abner Mares !

First off, how do you know he "just" developed dizziness a year later? He could have been experiencing it before it was reported. Secondly, if you are not a medical doctor, I probably will disregard your medical theories about how long it takes head injury effects to kick in.

He moved down in weight, why would a boxer move down in weight??
Abner Mares hasn't fought at 122 pounds since February of 2006. That was a long time before Lopez picked up a belt. Mares has had a long documentation of health problem that have put him on the sidelines.

I don't know why you'd be so opinionated when you yourself admit that you know **** about them. You obviously haven't educated yourself on a subject that you seem very passionate about.

Look back to before the Marquez fights, Israel Vasquez was dropped two times and cut very badly by Jhonny Gonzalez, only to come back and score a knockout win. Very damaging fight, just like the second fight with Oscar Larios where he was stopped in the 12th.

47 fights, 269 rounds boxed and 32 years of age, that's a lot for a smaller fighter.

As for Marquez, in addition to the three taxing fights with Vasquez, he had a tough come-from-behind fight against Tim Austin as well as several early knockout losses.

You sound like their dad or mom !! That is all, I wanna hear how they bleed from both eyes again, to care.

Since you know everything, what is Abner Mares long history of health promblems, and why did he move down in weight?

Nooo, he devolped dizzyness a year later at the same time Izzy devolped an detached retina. Explain that, don't just sit there and say the time'ing wasnt the same...
