Oscar wasn't shot or weight drained against Pacquiao.

I don't mean to downplay the significance of Pac's win over DLH, but if anyone can tell me that the version of Oscar that Pac whipped is even remotely comparable to the versions of Oscar that fought Floyd or Mayorga at 154 then they are full of ****.
    Well said man!

Anyone would have beaten DLH the night Floyd did and many people said it as well.

        They are very comparable versions.
I don't believe they were. I accept that Oscar was not as good against Floyd as he was say against Mayorga, but physically the difference between Oscar on fight night against Mayweather and then against Pacquiao was incredible. He was clearly not strong at the weight against Pacquiao, you would have to be sight-impaired to believe otherwise IMO.

So I guess you're sight impaired for missing DLH drooling all over the ring and not throwing much after the 7th round against an opponent who threw 1 or 2 times at the most?

There is very little physical difference in the two fights.

Manny ripped many 4 punch combos, darted out and then back in again, for 8rounds.

Taking that kind of punishment, at his age against a sparkplug like Manny is going to take its toll.

            So now,

explain why DLH had such a hard time in the second half of the Mayweather fight when Floyd fought his usual cautious fight.

It wasn't because he was taking a vicious beating I can tell you that.

lol, truth bothers you thats why.

DLH, a part time fighter would have gotten beat by any of the top 5 welters that same night.

Many people echoed those same sentiments.

Only Floyd fans tried hyping up DLH at that stage as someone worthy.

Most of us have known DLH had been on the downslide for years.

The Mayorga KO got you guys souped up on interest for the fight.

What is Mayorgas biggest win again?

Why would the truth bother me?

In no way am I trying to say Floyd beat a prime DLH. In a prime-on-prime matchup at 147 or 154 between the two I am picking Oscar every time.

Having said that if you cannot see that the Oscar that fought Manny was pretty much ***ed before he got in the ring then, as always seems to be the case with you, there is no point even trying to have a logical discussion.

De La Hoya losing weight between the time he weighed in and the time of the fight should tell us all we need to know about the condition he was in.

Either way, weight drained or not. Pacquiao's win over De la Hoya meant less than Floyd's simply because Floyd had recently beaten him. Beating fighter's who are coming off the back of a big loss does less than if you had beaten them before that loss. Just as Pacquiao's 2nd win over Barrera meant less than Marquez's win the fight before, Roy Jones' win over Virgil Hill meant less than Dariusz Michalczewski and Juan Diaz's win over Katsidis meant less than Casamayor's
