The Vitali/Gomez fight had some tactical boxing, some inside fighting, it had blood, and three knockdowns. It was in no way boring, what more can people want?
The Klitschko brothers are killing boxing.

like i give vitali and wlad credit for being champions, but seriously there fights turn people off from boxing...i think its also got to do with the boxing comissions being so corrupt and just letting the klitscko bros. say what happens next in the division.....like "ordering" valuev" to fight wlad or vitali to monopolize the heavyweight devision is crapComment

Its the Klitchko's fault that nobody in their division has a pulse??Ok, im dead serious. Heavyweight boxing is THE flagship of the sport, people expect to see action, action and more action, knockdowns, knockouts and everything in between. With the Klitschkos all they get is boring fights where they jab gently at thier opponents, untill the opponent collapses because he got so bored he fell asleep. All the while the german fans chant viiiiiiitalllllli, like they are at a funeral or something. Man this **** is killing boxing and it has to stop!Comment

I see both sides of the coin here. One can argue that the K's are methodical, sterile, stiff, robotic, and yes, boring to some people, but it's not up to them to make the heavyweight division exciting again. You can't blame it on the K's, they're just doing their thing. And they keep winning.
Personally, I don't find them particularly interesting to watch. For example, if we can use prime Tyson as the benchmark, let's compare the Wlad vs. Rahman fight. Wlad spent 7 rounds getting an unexciting stoppage. How long would it have taken for young Tyson to take out an opponent like this? I'd be very surprised if Rahman survived the first round. The fight would probably be over within 30 seconds. It creates exciting fights because Tyson went straight for the kill, no ****ing around, just clean his clock, show everyone who's the baddest, and then go home.
IMO, the K brothers tend to play it a bit too safe, when you know that if they just let their hands go they'd be blasting people out super quick and it would create exciting fights. That's just not their style, unfortunately. It's a shame they don't have that brutal, rip-your-head-off-and-eat-your-children streak, but hey, nobody is forcing anyone else to watch their fights. If they were not around, the heavyweight division would be even worse. They are the best of a poor division, and it's up to others to make it exciting again. I think we need someone with a mean streak to tear **** up again, but explosive fighters like Tyson are special, they rarely come around.
As I said, if you don't like it, don't watch. There is a ****load of excitement in other divisions and many fighters who are worthy of your attention.

oh, I dont know...Lewis seemed much more exciting than the Klitschko brothers do now.
you have to admit, Lewis's easy destruction was more entertaining.
and Lewis wasnt the most entertaining fighter around, but he had some pretty entertaining fights, like against Briggs, Mavrovic, Mercer, etc. The last real entertaining fight Ive seen Wladimir in was against Sam Peter, and the last time Ive seen Vitali in a real entertaining fight was against Sanders.
probebly the biggest problem people have with the Klitschko's is that theyre repetitive. it works, yes...but lets face it. they do the same thing over and over again. jab jab jab jab right. jab jab jab jab right. theyll mix it up occasionally, but their body work and uppercuts are mediocre at best, and their infighting is completely nonexistant. although to Wladimir's credit, he can throw a very good left hook when he gets the distance down. but for the most part, its the same rhythm with the same type of punches over and over again.
and the other problem is that they wont fight each other. that does suck. its one thing for a guy to be king, and sit on everyone else with no competetion. honestly, people can live with that. but there are two obvious top guys in the division, and they wont fight each other. that just pisses people off.
I think Wladimir will get more respect if he can pick up the WBA belt though.Comment

they aren't the rest of the "Division" is. I can't remember the last time I saw a heavyweight other than the Klitch Bro's that did just look like a fat guy.Comment
