        oh yeah he did, but i still felt he lost some of the killer instinct that saw him flatten lightheavys like griffin and hill...should have at least tko'd johnson and gonzalez..i think thats why he lost some fans over the years..

          Please...where was the killer instinct in the first Griffin fight? McCallum? Even Lucas. Jones always fought like that.

              he just never really had the power at light heavy. At the time some people thought Roy was really a middleweight just looking for a challenge.

                He had the power... it just wasnt his game... a no risk style fighter... hit and not be hit was the definition of roy jones...

                if you can break someones ribs with a body shot, youve got some power

                  well yeah if you can KO somebody with a body shot and break their ribs then you must have power. He could have finished nearly everybody he fought pretty early but i think he just wanted to put on a show to make people see how good he really was.
