    Interesting read...
Actually The Ring Magazine's list of the 80 Best Fighters of the Last 80 Years placed Roy Jones Jr at number 44. Ahead of greats such as Bernard Hopkins, Felix Trinidad, Jake LaMotta, Lennox Lewis, Thomas Hearns, Sonny Liston, Mike Tyson, Oscar De La Hoya and Mike McCallum to name a few. Joe Calzaghe never made the list.

Adamek, if it does happen. It adds another belt another weight class and a GOOD solid fighter that has only lost to bad Chad....

It dont get any better if you ask me.

I'm a very big Roy optimist like all the other Roy fans on here, but a fight with Adamek would be a very, very tough fight for Roy to win at this stage of Roy's career. Roy's best assets are gone. Take away the fact that this fight would take place at Cruiserweight, and as overrated as Adamek is IMO, he has very good boxing fundamentals and a great chin.

Roy would have a huge mountain to climb.

im a zaghe fan but no way does calaghe come close to RJJ on the ATG list - RJ dominated a higher level of comp and went from MW to HW.

the article was a good read - thanks reed

True and that's why it would be that "big win before he signs off" fight. But yes a huge mountain to climb indeed.

with roy sr back in his corner i feel good... i know he had him for tarver 3... but the reluctance he had because of back to back KOs... was understandable... hes past that, and has his dad now... he MAY be able to pull a big win over someone a little more basic... where roy has the speed advantage again...

but i know adamek is no walk over... but **** it, this is the fight game.. if ur gonna go out, go out fightin!

If Roy somehow manged to beat Adamek at this stage of Roy's career, it would be Roy's biggest win to date IMO.

                  I feel ya...

I think even at CW he'll be faster than Adamek. Its like what he said about Ruiz at HW.

"I know what people are going to say, but there is nothing wrong with John Ruiz, Like a lot of other guys I fought, he was just slower than me. And I kind of out thought him."

Even though this is not 2003 I think he will be faster and smarter than Adamek.
