Vitali is tough has a great chin and underrated Boxing skills but let's face it we'll never know how good he actually was/is because of the level of competition he fights. In it's current state the Heavyweight division is pathetic. It be like Pavlik fighting all the middleweights now and KO em all and then saying Pavlik is an ATG. Level of competition determines if a fighter is great and unfortuantley for Vitali there is not much competition.
I don't care if maskaev is 40 I'd like him to fight either klitschko.let haye, dimitrenko, haye, other prospects fight each other & get experience to determine the next real challenger.let the so called next bunch beat toney, ruiz, mccline,Rahman, guinns, etc so they can get rid of the old & prove they are worthy.at least haye beat Barrett & arreolas fighting mccline.peter & chambers is next week.dimitrenko & all the eastern European prospects have alot to prove.chagaev & valuev at least both beat ruiz.you have to beat names to get a name.I think the division is weak but their are good fights coming.the only eastern European contender who has earned a title shot is povetkin.he did it the way the klits should have done it years ago but didn't.povetkin had a long amateur background & fought quality fighters from the start of his pro career.he is the only prospect ready for a shot.
It's tough to say how the Klitschkos will go down in history. Of course, they've got talent, but the competition is simply lacking. I just can't put them in the same category of Louis or Ali. I don't think he's an all time great. I can see where you would argue that though.
I disagree with you I don't think he is an All Time Great.
Klitschkos = AVERAGE Fighters in a wayyyyy below average heavyweight division... they aren't King of the Mountain.... no no.... they are KINGS OF A HILL
