I plan to mention it in an article that will post Sunday morning, but I thought Teddy Atlas' post-fight comments were appalling. I agree with you that little credit is given to either Klitschko.the klitshckos even if they win and win looks like theyre not getting the credit they desrve bcoz it seems to me they are no yanks...
these people, maybe mostly casual fans, are so obsessed with the coming of the next great american heavyweight...
this is just an opinion ok?
I thought Vitali looked sensational tonight. Sure you can wax poetic about a history of heavyweights that beat him, but for what's out there, he's clearly the best of the lot. Wlad has the much better resume, but Vitali goes in there and gets **** done without looking terrified doing so.
For Teddy to be asked the question "What more would you like to see?" and then respond with nothing other than that there's nobody else out there was ridiculous. And then, after Brian Kenny even said "who would you like to see him fight, besides Wladimir?", Teddy's brilliant, though-provoking answer - "Wladimir."
Whatever. I just find it humorous that, save for Moorer catching Holy w/ a bad heart, Teddy's accomplished **** all as a trainer yet continues to **** on everyone else's work.Comment

Yeah Teddy was bad. He wasn't even being objective. I don't know why he hates Vitali so much.
He's going on and on about the Byrd loss like it was yesterday. WTF?Comment

So u agree if Teddy didnt have anything nice to say dont say anything at all? Teddy is the 'color commentator' which means he gives his opinion. Just because he believes Vitali wasnt as spectaculor as u would seem to think he was; its still just his opinion.Comment

awesome post man, I agree with every word I was just about to write something close to that. Atlas is wack and I have no respect for himI plan to mention it in an article that will post Sunday morning, but I thought Teddy Atlas' post-fight comments were appalling. Gomez was terrible, this was my first time seeing the guy fight and he didn't look like he belonged in the same ring as Vitali. He played the same role as he had previously for Vitali, that of a sparring partner. I didn't have a problem with Teddy's comentary, he's an honest guy who doesn't mince words. This fight does nothing for the heavyweight division but sends another pretender back into obscurity. I don't see any current heavyweight beating either Klitschko anytime soon. Now if only Haye would stop being such a pansy and step up and take his beating like a man...Comment

have you guys seen these fights? (1)Holyfield/bowe trilogy(2)Holyfield/cooper(3)holyfield/dokes(4)bowe/golota 1&2(5)golota/grant(6)Rahman/maskaev 1(7)tua/ibeabuchi(8)Rahman/corrie sanders(9)lewis/marovic(10)lewis/mercer(11)mercer/witherspoon(12)jefferson/Harris(13)maddelone/minto(2bums but great fight)(14)Botha/entienne(15)brewster/liahkovich...these are exciting fights that the fans want to see.people want exciting fights not boring fights.I've seen every klitschko fight & not one of their fights are better than any of these fights I listed.if you haven't seen them watch them.lennox lewis had the same problem as the klitschkos.he only got recognition when he unified the titles.mostly he was boring to watch.his only fights on payperview were against Holyfield & Tyson.people want to be excited when they pay hard earned $$$ to watch boxing.chris Byrd had the same problem.look at Tyson early he was a menace! The klits just don't provide entertainment.that's why people want to see arreola & haye.even James toney still tries to slug it out.they will never get the credit until they excite the fans.hbo wanted nothing to do with it for a reason.they will get involved in haye & arreola fights because the fans want it.even andrew golota can draw big crowds still in Chicago & new York.Comment
