Maybe. But people who think Haye is gonna put on this big, heroic display of blood and thunder could just as easy be surprised by how tenderly he folds when he feels what Vitali's got. And he would feel it, early. He's open as all hell and Vitali's timing is deceptive. I see it being a bit of a blowout with people scratching their heads after and wondering what happened to all the guts and glory they were promised.

Haye's a bit of a false prophet. People are clinging to him like he's the answer to the division's problems, and he isn't.

I seen a lot worse fights than this one, too. A lot. Not a classic, but worth tuning in for.

I thought Haye had no chance against Vitali, and a moderate chance against Wlad. But now, I'm not so sure.

The speed differentials between Cruiserweight and HW are huge. Haye, from what I saw in the Barrett fight, seems to have carried his speed up. I know Gomex was a great Cruiserweight but he fights at a HW's pace these days.

I think it's easy to overlook the fact that this is a 37 year old guy who's been inactive for 4 years through injury, because he's come back and dispatched two fighters with ease.

Vitali might have a great chin but if Haye cracks it enough times, you never know. Who'd have thought Margarito would get knocked out?

        Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't even bet e-money on Haye in a fight. But I don't think it's a foregone conclusion.

I agree i didn't think Haye had a great chance against Vitali but after last night i give him a better chance sure Haye could get knocked out in the first few rounds but he would be so much quicker than anyone Vitali has faced recently, I know Haye leaves him self open and can be off balance but he has great natural speed which would give Vitali some trouble. I wouldn't be surprised to hear Haye has signed to face Vitali in the next few days. I still dont understand why people say Haye has so many nuthuger fans almost all of us that have followed Haye from the start know that his chin is bad.

i guess us who have sparred or fought on an am or pro level know this better than the rest.

and a person can always say how much different they would do something in the ring - but, go out and do it then, im speaking to the kids who dont know fighting from thier *ss.

Great post mate, I love the way you explain that to posters on here...Not that i think Haye is rubbish but when he gets in there then things would be different from how he looks at it from the outside...Reality would set in..

What the **** is it with Klitschko fans? They all talk the ****ing same, they all refuse to see any other point of view than a Klitschko one and they will flat out lie on occasions to dispute something.

The Klitschko camp want to be in control of Haye's next four fights if he is to fight either brother, which is frankly ridiculous. Perhaps they know he won't sign it because Haye has never let anyone control his career, but can appear to have given him the opportunity to fight either of them. It's a ***** move. Just make the ****ing fight and let's see what happens.

I don't see how Haye deserves the shot more than someone who's earned it the hard way, someone like Povetkin.

I mean Haye was basically jumping the entire line at Heavyweight, and negotiating with Wlad. Only, he blew it, because he's a prima donna who wouldn't agree to any of Wlad's terms.

                      Povetkin deserves it more.
