      Message to rorymac:

**** you and your red K.

Hatton did NOT "literally used to KO every opponent with bodyshots", that's bull****. He KO'd SOME opponents early on in his career. They were nobodies, nowhere near the level of top competition. It's meaningless. If he could KO every opponent with body shots he would have done it, instead of struggling with the likes of Collazo, hugging Urango to death, getting wobbled by Lazcano, taking 11 rounds to beat Paulie up, and getting KO'd by Mayweather.

As soon as I can give out more K, I'm hitting you with red.

I agree with the author, Hatton has a very good chance. I was picking an easy fight for Pac but I rewatched the Hatton-PBF fight in HD and that changed my mind and I am picking Hatton now. Id forgotten how fast Hatton was in there, not just hands but in movement. He kept coming forward so fast towards PBF, that PBF had little time to throw from long to midrange before Hatton was right in front of him again. I don think Pac has the inside game to beat Hatton, I think Pac likes his space and Hatton wont give it to him.

Mayweather Sr will make a difference as well. His old trainer seemed like a nice guy but wasnt world level. What the hell was with that bodybag sparring thing anyways? Hatton made some ****** mistakes in the PBF fight and could have done much better with slight adjustments. This isnt reinventing the wheel, this is just adding some headmovement and other slight things. I think May Sr can tweak his style and correct some mistakes, nothing drastic but enough to make a difference.

I really want Pac to win though because I much rather see Pac vs PBF than see a Hatton PBF rematch.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. is overrated. If hatton wins it is not because of Mayweather Sr. training/coaching.

I'm not too convinced, this will be a war where manny will have to fight up close and trade a lot, you cant really stick and move vs ricky like pac did to the old flat footed DLH, ricky is too fast on his feet and too good at cutting off the ring, you need to stand up close, use short range defensive techniques and fast accurate counters to beat hatton, just like floyd did, occasionally moving away to keep composure and starting again, and manny cant do that half as well as floyd

manny has the fast hands and power to compete with hatton offensively, but im not too sure how well manny will go if hatton makes him fight a phonebooth style fight (which he will), the ref wont let hatton clinch heaps but he wil allow lots of up close action as long as both fighters are punching and not holding. manny has a good chin, but he was wobbled a few times vs marquez, and hatton is a heavier hitter than JMM, especially to the body. im not sure how manny will go fighting in a war against naturally bigger and stronger guy who doesnt let you move a lot...

he will catch hatton a lot coming in, but he doesnt have one punch KO pop above 130, and hatton's chin is quite good, he was ko'd by a very accurate and underated puncher in floyd, and that was at 147

but if manny cant hurt hatton badly as he comes in (and hatton has gotten better defensively too), can't handle the rough and tumble up close with the bigger and stronger hatton, can't use the ring as much as he always does, and is put off by hattons heavy body punching early, how the hell will he win this fight?

the answer: i think his best bet is to catch hatton as much as he can, open a cut, and just hang in there, keep nailing the cut, getting the blood to flow and getting the fight stopped before hatton takes him out (which will take time as manny is tough and has a good chin/body)

but if he cant get that cut going early, or cant tag it enough to get the fight stopped, i think manny might be in for a highly competitive fight which will turn into an ass kicking as it progresses and hattons strength and body punching wears manny down
ricky hatton will be the one doing all the running and wearing himself down and pac will help with that. pacquiao is a beast
