Why aren't the bookies taking bets on the Klitschko-Gomez fight?

Because people who bet money on this fight already know who is most likely going to win. I'd bet my house on Vitali, he rarely gets hit cleanly and has shown a granite chin against Lennox Lewis. He also hits very hard and lands quite accurately.

In the end, I think they'd lose more money then make any money off of this fight. That is why.

It's not the first fight with a big favorite. Why aren't they just giving long odds, 10 to 1, whatever?

Pacquiao -260
Hatton +220
9.5 ov -150

mean in terms of 1/2, 5/1, Evens, etc ?

- means you would have to bet 260 to win 100
+ means you would have to bet 100 to win 220
