it's always been about the money. Why the hell would Floyd fight Hatton, when the fans obviously wanted to see him face Cotto or Margarito?

boxing fans have been wanting that fight for awhile now, and STILL Floyd continues to ignore the fans.

talks of rematches with ODLH and Hatton?

20 mill for a comeback fight?

im sorry Floyd, but isn't the opinion of the majority of boxing fans a GOOD ENOUGH reason to go ahead and atleast talk about making these fights possible?

    whats with all the excuses?
Really?? Of course its about the money. What professional boxer do u know that would fight for free? Just like any other job you want to get paid top dollar!!! I pretty sure you dont turn a raise down when its offered to u at work.

I'm not trying to excuse floyd from fighting them (i wanna see those fights), but some of you more level headed posters need to put things into the overall perspective.
I dont know when exactly he call does guys and if he did, there was little effort from his part to make the fights posible, so you need to stop making excuses for the one that made it clear that most of the real good fights didnt happend because of money and thats BS

      • well great, you made your point.... so if mayweather wanted them then... why doesn't he want them now? Cotto brings a much higher paycheck than he did and 2005, and so does mosley. No excuses anymore.

Ask Floyd, not me. But you don't know who he'll fight if and when he comes out of retirement and nor do I. Everyone hopes that if he comes out of retirement, he'll fight at least one of Cotto or Mosley before re-retiring.

Agreed FLoyd will never amount to anything but a boxer overhyped who ducked everyone

Weird post - how is that "agreeing" with anything I said? Can't you read? Or do you not know what "agreed" means?

              • It should be either against Pacman or against JMM only to to ensure an interesting fight! ODLH simply could not pull the trigger anymore esp at 147, and Hatton.. not anymore after losing to him most of the roounds before KOed.

And Paquiao or Mosley(if hatton wins) in December of 2009.

That should solidify hiom as p4p for the decade and top 20 ATG for sure.
Floyd doesn't fight tune up fights. JMM is regarded by some idiots(Max Kellerman) as the #1 P4P fighter today. JMM isn't a tune up at all. JMM vs Floyd will happen.

Please show me the link where Floyd said he didnt want to fight Cotto or Mosley. I know u r going to say he asked for 20mil to fight Mosley but why shouldnt he? The question u should ask is why would Mosley and GBP try to low ball him with 8mil. Come on he made that for fighting Baldomir. How serious are they about making a fight with him!!

                    • A win over Pac does more for Floyd's legacy than a win against Cotto/Mosley.

You gotta be ****** not to see this.
